If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

• If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
• If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

    • Actually both methods are acceptable per WP:NCCORP#Disambiguation, but I would agree that it should go through a full discussion to change the title from the "(company)" parenthetical disambiguation to the legal suffix. In similar previous RM discussions I have seen, it has frequently depended on whether the legal suffix is included in its WP:COMMONAME used by most reliable sources, and using "(company)" is instead generally preferred when reliable sources rarely use the legal suffix.   • Contesting: Boy Scout has been a primary redirect for 15 years, so "malplaced" isn't really an adequate reason (the dab page can always just be revised). On the merits, I do think the singular is quite a bit less ambiguous than the plural. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 04:47, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

    Note that there was a recent AFD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boy Scouts.

    Currently, Boy Scouts redirects to Boy Scout (disambiguation). Seems to me that Boy Scout and Boy Scouts could both redirect to Scout (Scouting), but that's a discussion for WP:RFD, not here. 162 etc. (talk) 16:42, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

• MF Doom → MF DOOM (currently a redirect back to MF Doom) (move · discuss) – (Relevant talk page) WP:COMMONNAME, and the case scheme invariably used by MF DOOM himself. Contested by one editor, who popped in to say "Wikipedia has rules. This article is on Wikipedia. This article follows the rules of Wikipedia." I do not like that editor, and a total of four editors disagree with that snarky nothing gotcha and are for moving the article to MF DOOM, which I believe is enough to be a consensus.   @Kaotao: This has already been discussed extensively and would be a clearly controversial move. I suggest you take a look at the multiple discussions in the talk page archives that have not achieved consensus to move to MF DOOM. Zeibgeist (talk) 06:01, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia has established reasons to avoid article titles that yell at the reader in ALL-CAPS, and since MF Doom was often referred to in lowercase, that is sufficient reason to leave the article title as-is. Also, those numerous secondary sources may have used all-caps for stylistic reasons but that does not automatically mean that it's his official stage name. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 14:20, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
