- It's my opinion, and I'm full well entitled to it. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 04:09, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Certainly, but it's not particularly civil either. Videmus Omnia Talk 04:12, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you feel that way. In any case, a haiku isn't really something we should be getting worked up about, no? Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 04:14, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. I don't see how a comment is immune to policy by formulating it within a certain linguistic scheme. Videmus Omnia Talk 04:17, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, Mike is insulted by my request that he retract his "stupid" statement. Videmus Omnia Talk 04:39, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

- This is a common problem with RFC. There's a decent chunk of editors who see any statements of "You should stop doing what you did here and here" as "stupid sniping" or drama-seeking. I think these folks ought to keep these comments to themselves, as this attitude undermines any useful purpose RFC might serve. Yes, RFC can be misused; we all realize this. But there has to be a place for legitimate criticism- none of us are perfect, and we need to know if people think we screwed up. If you think criticism is automatically bad because it's "not nice", fine, don't criticize anything. But don't try to stop others from giving constructive criticism. - This is a common problem with Wikipedia. There's a decent chunk of editors who see any negative comments as 'incivility' or 'trolling' and get pissed when people dare to show an opinion or attitude that is anything less than "Yes, that's great!!!!"
- "How dare you call me stupid when I do something incredibly stupid? Why, you incivil troll!" 86.137.24.224 07:40, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
