too many trolls not worth the hassle of being criticised by kids and sockpuppets, SqueakBox 20:04, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
I don't think this page should be speedied. Regardless of "kids" and sockpuppets, it's an important record and should be kept. android79 20:17, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
- SqueakBox, If I might point this out, technically you didn't decline the nomination, what happened is that you have withdrawn your candidacy, which is your prerrogative. But so that the record is accurate, it would be better if you corrected your note. If I may suggest, you could restore your acceptance post, and right under it, you can use your present text, but replacing the first sentence ("Not accepted") with "Withdrawn". If a candidacy is withdrawn, no one will post in it anymore.
But are you sure you want to give up so soon? I mean, this is just the first day, the RfA lasts a 7-day period. A lot can happen in this time. If sockpuppets, vandals and trolls are attempting to disturb your RfA, serious users who vote usually perceive that as an indication that the nominee is doing something right. The best thing you can do is not be all-out confrontational when they try to provoke you. If an account with two edits to its credit posts here to oppose you for no apparent reason, make a note to it under the vote. Serious voters will look into it and will be likely to support you. Anyways, it's your call. Regards, Redux 21:28, 29 July 2005 (UTC) - Cheers for the comment. The whole process just leaves me feeling upset. I don't need public humiliation, which is what I feel this was degenerating into. By all means change the text to say I withdrew, SqueakBox 21:31, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
That looks fine. Shame really but I find wikipedia toos stressful. It intrudes too much into my working life already, and I just don't need nasty criticisms and rascism accusations. See my partner and I. Too much trolling, and it seems the Rfadmin process is putting people off even editing, ie they leave. I have seen 2 people leave after failed admin requests. I don't wish to be so thoroughly disgusted with wikipedia that I leave. IMO both Vizcarra and admin Andres were trolling and Aule was a very Spanish sounding sockpuppet. "My edits on Batpedia" I say sarcastically and with a tinge of cynicism, SqueakBox 22:06, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
Well I have asked for a sockpuppet check on User:Aule. I am very offended about accusations of rascist editing, and if this user is a sockpuppet I will take appropriate wikipedia action, SqueakBox 23:14, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
- Reply: I am sorry, but I see calling someone a "nazi troll", discriminating against certain races, and calling people "Fundamentalist Christian anime-obsessed crack-addicted termite-farming leprechauns who are physically incapable of telling a lie" all as racism. However, I do appreciate how you welcomed me to Wiki with your nice message even after I opposed you on here. Props for that. --Aule 03:28, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
I was quoting from batpedia about the crack obsessed etc, and it was not me who brought batpedia up. I did not invent said phrase, nor call anyone that. How can you say I discriminate against certain races? that is a bare faced lie that I would like you to withdraw. I was wronmg to call Zapatancas a nazi, and had withdrawn the comment within minutes, but that is not a reason to call me a rascist. You simply have no justification in completely incorrectly insulting me in that way. I am in a mixed race marriage. So how am i a rascist? SqueakBox 03:42, July 30, 2005 (UTC)
I feel I must reply to that. I am sorry if my comment offended you, however, since you are deleting my comment on your RfA, I will post it here. I see calling someone a "fucking nazi" and calling people "Fundamentalist Christian crack-whores" examples of racism. If you can show me that it was not intended as such, i will remove my comment. I just added that to what I had seen. I am a legitimate user, who may be new, but I am allowed opinions am I not? --Aule 03:35, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
The batpedia quote was a batpedia quote to explain batpedia. Nothing more or less. that is how they describe themselves. Calling someone a Nazi is not rascist. I repeat, I did not bring batpedia up, nor do I endorse anything they say that is not edited by me personally, SqueakBox 03:42, July 30, 2005 (UTC)
To clarify somewhat, Batpedia is a satirical encyclopedia and describes itself as "Batpedia, a gay porn site run by Fundamentalist Christian anime-obsessed crack-addicted termite-farming leprechauns who are physically incapable of telling a lie" on the main page. This isn't racism - it's supposed to be humor. Andre (talk) 03:45, July 30, 2005 (UTC)
Thankyou. So why bring batpedia up in the first place. I wasn't slagging wikipedia off there so my work there has nothing to do with wikipedia, any more than my continuous spam clearance and RC patrol at greatest wiki has anything to do with it. I should have beenm jugdged on wikipedia and not anything else,
I truly apologise SqueakBox. I obviously read too far into the Batpedia thing, and you have taken enough heat on the Nazi comment already methinks. I am already removing all comments I have made on the matter. Please forgive my mistake --Aule 03:52, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
