- The edit count was retrieved from this link at 06:16, 15 November 2007 (UTC).
- Wannabe_kate stops at 45,000 edits. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/query.php?what=contribcounter&titles=User:SkierRMH currently gives 74,817 edits (including deleted edits). WODUP 06:20, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Mathbot added the count, and it's designed so as to use wannabe_kate. I'm sure anyone who really wants a super long edit analysis will just use Special:Contributions :) Dihydrogen Monoxide 07:48, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- I know; I was just adding a more accurate count. WODUP 19:09, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Moved from project page
[edit]I've moved this from the "Oppose" section on the RfA page because it was simply a joke that misfired, and should not be left to confuse those who come to comment on the RfA hereafter. Newyorkbrad 00:40, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
#Needs 75000 edits before I support. Majorly (talk) 10:56, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- So that will be by about Thursday afternoon then.? Pedro : Chat 11:16, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Not to harass the opposer, but won't you reconsider? I'm sure nom can overcome shortcomings. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 17:11, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm sure this is just an edit made in good faith for satirical purposes. Rudget zŋ 17:17, 15 November 2007 (UTC)- Me too. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 17:28, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- I find it particularly funny that Skier actually has 5,000 more edits needed to get the support. :P GlassCobra 20:46, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Seriously Majorly's point (un-blued) may be amusing to some, and was to me whilst it stayed a short while. However now this seems not to be redacted I find it disapointing in a former admin, and his failure to revisit makes me question his motives. He should know how much stress RfA can bring and, I'm sorry to use the word, pathetic things like this help no one at all. I'm sure the 'crats will give his oppose due weight. Pedro : Chat 20:52, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, Majorly hasn't really edited since then (except for some archiving his talk page during the hour following this comment), so it seems a bit quick to jump to the conclusion that he has no intention of retracting the comment next time he logs in. |dorf|trottel| |mess|age| 21:46, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Good point, but if I'd left this as a joke I'd have made certain to get back online to change it, or not to have left it in the first place. I can't judge Majorly by my standards but I find it pretty poor form from a former admin and respected editor. Pedro : Chat 21:50, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hm, yah, all joke comments in RfAs are more or less inappropriate, esp. an oppose. But we both know the closing 'crat will know what to make of it and maybe either frown a bit or chuckle a bit. |dorf|trottel| |mess|age| 22:12, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

- Dear me, do we need to have a rule against any more joke !votes? Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 22:29, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- No. We need Majorly to strike his comment, or oppose every other editor with less than 75k contributions with no other reason but editcount from here onwards. Either will evidence his personal standards of who should be an admin based on this oppose. I think this is over until Majorly makes further input, and the wikidrama can just be dropped. Pedro : Chat 22:36, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- What we need is for people to be just a bit less reactionary to silly opposes... if something looks like a joke, it probably is. No need to comment on it (or if you do, it should be on the user's talk page)... EVula // talk // ☯ // 22:40, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- <sarcasm> I have no doubt Majorly will be delighted by your opinion of his oppose as silly....</sarcasm> If Majorly wanted a gag then why didn't he stick it on the talk page of this RfA, or better yet Uncyclopedia is a mere hyperlink away. I thought this was a serious business and that opposes without discussion or benefit could be classed as pointy (which so far I have refrained from linking.) Perhaps you disagree EVula ? - Jeez Pedro, what happened to WP:SARCASM - I swear you used to advocate that...RfA is never serious, mate. Dihydrogen Monoxide 23:32, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, miserable old git that I am I changed my mind on the srcasm bit! Storm blown over though - let's all move on. Pedro : Chat 23:39, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well done buddy, only a half hour after Majorly posted in the support section saying that he was joking. :P GlassCobra 23:52, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Err........??????? Check my contrib history & Majorly's talk page. I've been active on this thread for over an hour.... Can we move on or am I at fault here? If so, my talk page please not the candidates RfA unless germane. Pedro : Chat 23:58, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- You're not at fault at all, my friend! I'm just kidding. :) GlassCobra 00:16, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
