Discussion

[edit]
  • I probably shouldn't vote (since you were the first to oppose my most recent RFA) but I don't believe that your oppose in that RFA was appropriate. With regards to my lack of experience, there's no real problem with what you said. The problem was that you accused the nominator of "playing with people's emotions". I'm wondering how quick as an administrator you would be to make that sort of comment. —  scetoaux (T|C) 18:11, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey "scetoaux (T|C), first, always feel free to express your opinion. As you can see, by both sides of the discussion here, I do. And honestly, that is the only way you get to know the person and to form an opinion of that individual. Second, with regards to my soapbox comments, I still agree with them, but will not address it here, as I knew what I was getting involved with. Take care. ShoesssS Talk 19:03, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, this is a minor point, but I feel that some of your formatting is a bit less proper. The indentation above was a little excessive, and your edit summary was almost indecipherable. —  scetoaux (T|C) 20:48, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I personally think voting neutral in RfA is stupid since we have this section up here, but yeah, I am neutral. On the one hand most of the opposition seems to be per RfA voting (most; there are some other good points which I will look into at some stage). Frankly, I think this is ridiculous, and it smells strongly of grudge-opposition. This is nowhere near the first time one particular user has engaged in this behaviour. People have talk pages, folks. If you disagree with their actions, take it to their talk page and ask them to change, don't save it up for their RfA—that's really low. —Giggy 09:11, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • What is *low* is your continuous snide comments in my direction. I can see you haven't bothered to read the opposes properly, otherwise you'd see it's not "grudge-opposition". The only person with any kind of grudge round here is yourself. Al Tally talk 12:27, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If it were as easy as telling you both to stop bickering and move on, I would certainly do so. Al Tally, if you simply refuse to respond to what you perceive as Giggy's snide comments towards you (whether actual or perceived only by you, I cannot tell), then he'd probably stop for a lack of audience. Giggy, please refrain from accusing the opposition of being a grudge-opposition. That's not exactly in-line with our policy of assuming good faith, which I'm sure you know well enough.
I think both of you need to get off each-other's backs for a little while. Go write some articles, or fight some vandalism. —  scetoaux (T|C) 17:33, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
