Sockpuppetry dismissal

Jack Merridew has also devoted a lot of time to the project and I would also call him a respected and long-term editor. I still do believe it was a assumption of bad faith because Jack Merridew has not shown any behaviours that would validate an indefinite block but has definitely shown that he is a supporter of the project and edits in good faith. Sockpuppet allegations are very serious and a lot of damage can be caused; the editor might even feel forced to leave or unwilling to edit. It was a dramatic proposal that would have been better discussed with Jack Merridew on his talk page and if necessary then brought to a sockpuppetry case. No sanction has been proposed against Jack and nothing has yet come of the evidence provided. Seraphim♥ ^Whipp 16:19, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
