Note to closing bureaucrats

It appears this chapter's going to be a close one, characterized by a lot of fear in the heads of a lot of people, the basis for which is questionable at best. His image work and speedy deletion tagging are phenomenal, but minimally reflected by his edit count, as bad pages/images tend to be deleted. I'm willing to estimate that his gross edit count including deleted edits is somewhere in the 25-30,000 range. Rory is an excellent user, and I can only wish that a third of our active administrators were as industrious as him. If this comes down to the I implore you to consider assigning a provisional status similar to Carnildo 3, rather than failing this qualified candidate. —freak(talk) 15:55, Oct. 4, 2006 (UTC)

With no disrespect to Freak, the current head count is 44/43 with a ton of neutral votes (yeah, RfA isn't a pure "vote", etc., etc.)- this isn't like the Carnildo case, as here, there isn't even the least bit of consensus. -- Kicking222 13:54, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
