What's the odds for a snow accept, unless the candidate wishes to try for 300 appro's? LessHeard vanU 00:59, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- When Majorly left as an admin, he didn't believe he had the communites trust anymore - that's why we're having the RfA. Ryan Postlethwaite 01:00, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Given that, he probably wishes for the RfA to be run in its entirety. Nishkid64 (talk) 01:01, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- What Majorly believe(d)s and what I feel the community will (with perhaps a few fierce opposes) believe are likely to be two very different animals. F'instance, I don't always agree with M's decisions - but I didn't bother with reading any further than the nom; I approved because Wikipedia is better off having M as an admin than not. Of course, 30-2-0 or 300-13-0 there will always be criticism for the admin actions after the event.
- However, if M needs the reassurance... (shrug) LessHeard vanU 01:12, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

- Well, that was me wrong... it should be noted that the final tally was 142/26/ - not that it matter. LessHeard vanU 13:50, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
A bot request
[edit]Hi. Can somebody please add the link below to the RfA? I can't do it, presumably since this RfA was speedy deleted in the past and I can't handle that. Thanks!
- See Majorly's edit summary usage with mathbot's tool. For the edit count, see the talk page.

Previous RFA
[edit]Has been deleted.[1] Why? Can it be undeleted, please. -- !! ?? 01:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- There are only 2 deleted edits. One a month ago, beginning an RFA that was never completed by Majorly and one today by Ryan where I assume he screwed something up or had second thoughts, nothing substantial. Mr.Z-man 01:38, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- To explain that, after Majorly gave up his tools, he was immediately nominated by someone else but didn't accept so it got deleted. I created a nom earlier today and screwed it up (didn't put the nom in the template) so deleted it and started over again (that's what you get for a hard day at work!) Ryan Postlethwaite 01:40, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- I suspect that User:!! was looking for the original prior RfA that actually passed. Actually, I can't quickly find it either. I believe there was a username change (that would explain why this RfA isn't "Majorly 2"), but someone should link to the original RfA per standard practice unless there is a privacy issue. Newyorkbrad 01:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know if there's a privacy issue, but the previous RfA can be found on this page, if you look carefully enough! I'm fairly sure that there isn't an issue, since I seem to recall Majorly providing the link to someone in an WT:RFA discussion some time ago who was wondering where M's RfA page was. Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Alex9891 - There isn't a privacy issue, his rename could be found through several different logs. — H2O — 02:08, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. That is what I was after. (Didn't realise there was a rename involved.) -- !! ?? 10:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Opposing as "pat-on-back" excercise
[edit]Opposing this RfA as an attempt by Majorly to get praise strikes me as an unwarranted assumption of bad faith. I see no reason we ought not to believe him about his intentions. Heimstern Läufer (talk) 22:16, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
