While voting and most discussion should occur on the main RfA page, sometimes discussions stray off-topic or otherwise clutter that page. The RfA talk page serves to unclutter the main RfA page by hosting discussions that are not related to the candidacy.

AfD statistics
[edit]@GeneralNotability: Thanks for replying to my comment. In reviewing the candidate's AfD stats[1] I wasn't so much concerned about the overall number of delete and keep votes. It is, of course, entirely plausible that an editor specialises in cleanup and therefore nominates many articles for deletion but puts in less effort to rescue articles. Rather, I was basing my comment on the fact that he has voted multiple times for delete when the debate ended in keep, but zero times he voted keep but the debate ended in delete. These show that the candidate leans heavily towards delete compared to most other editors. I hear Charles Stewart's argument that in some of these cases alternatives were suggested after he has voted, but this doesn't negate the wider observation that he preferred to delete an article and did not consider how it could be saved. - Deryck Chan, okay, that's fair - I hadn't seen that particular trend. I understand your concerns now and can't disagree with your data. GeneralNotability (talk) 00:40, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
