Why are there questions about exploding editors and rampaging sentient bots on this RfA? LadyofShalott 00:11, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- Possibly because the RfA appears headed for what, in another space-time continuum, would be a WP:SNOW granting of the mop, and this is all that's left in the bucket to try and trip the editor up. --Alan the Roving Ambassador (User:N5iln) (talk) 00:17, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- There's an odd question from Keepscases because there's always an odd question from Keepscases; some have been much worse than this one, and I really enjoyed Fluffernutter's deadpan response. The others I can't speak to. Newyorkbrad (talk) 01:48, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've seen some of Keepscases's other questions. Fluffernutter handled the situation(s) well. I'm just not sure there should have been such for her to answer. LadyofShalott 02:07, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not disagreeing with you. Newyorkbrad (talk) 02:31, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

- Seems some editors have a purpose other than gauging the candidate's qualifications/abilities in regard to adminship. I give her credit for even entertaining some of them. Lara 03:01, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- I think the vast majority of participants disregard these absurdist questions and the answers given (or not given), although it is an opportunity for some administrator candidates to show good cheer. Cullen328 Let's

- I think it could be a kinda illustration that The Fluff is very hard to phase! We trust her ability to deal in an open and friendly manner with all kinds of rampant insanity, and be able to tell the safely insane from the real damage-seekers :o) Pesky (talk …stalk!) 04:32, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- Indeed. I guess that I'd add: I was honestly sort of disappointed that I didn't get a Keepcases question during my own RfA, compared to some of the serious (and quite sensible) questions, a KC question would have been a nice distraction. I realize that other people are bothered by them, and I respect that, but they just give me a giggle. *shrug* --joe deckertalk to me 21:19, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

- Ug. Its up to seven joke questions now. jorgenev 21:29, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'll be very blunt here. Most of the stupid/silly/stupid questions are from people who are friendly with Fluffernutter in the IRC. #wikipedia-en is not often a very serious place, which is fine for the most part, since when it needs to be serious it can be, however the stupid/silly/stupid beheavior leeching over here is not acceptable. I applaud Fluffernutter for not indulging or feeding it here. Sven Manguard Wha? 09:44, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Meh, I'm not really into all these joke questions, but as long as Fluffernutter doesn't object to them, I don't see why we should. Heimstern Läufer (talk) 16:03, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
