Page Move

@Antandrus and Nigos: Are there any objections to moving this page to Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Projects? Naleksuh (talk) 06:23, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That should be fine. As long as his other common names (George Reeves Person, GRP, and this one) redirect there. Antandrus (talk) 14:37, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Antandrus: /GRP was created, but /George Reeves Person seems to be on the title blacklist. As admin, can you create it yourself? Naleksuh (talk) 20:10, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Antandrus (talk) 20:14, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of some extra behaviours of this guy

Hi there, as someone who's been attacked by this guy 50 ish times now, I'm adding some behaviours that I noticed of him here. Feel free to modify it, but if you're to revert it, please let me know here. SHB2000 (talk) 06:39, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just added chess spam as I believe there's a filter on en.wb preventing this. SHB2000 (talk) 01:30, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Meatspace name?

@Antandrus: I have been in the crosshairs of this person for a few years now, and apparently what triggered that was my refusal to delete a post in my Commons talk page in which a user complained about a reversion I had done — including in his post what seems to be a meatspace name. The subject of said reversal was archaic Greek letters, so the troll in question might have been the other one, but it is known they copycat each other. Now, amid the unhinged rants I have been directed ever since, this person intersperses accusations about my supposed violation of his privacy (for refusing to delete off my talk page archive the accidental/malicious reveal of this putative meatspace name) never quoting that name verbatim rather only using its initials. Confusingly this is done both in the first and third persons, but genuine concern seems to be there. Could that be an actual name? Indeed, is this user’s real name known to you (meaning to experts on GRP and Wikinger)…? If not, would this information be of any use to WMF Legal or to the Chicago Police Department? Tuvalkin (talk) 18:47, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure that all the higher-ups who care already know the real name. CPD definitely knows. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 18:55, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(ec) @Tuvalkin: Ah yes, that "privacy" issue. It's his name - his real name - and it's no secret (he uses it all the time, typically while claiming to be someone else, a "George" or "Wanda" or "Ted" or "Tadeusz" or any of the hundred other aliases he has). I rarely use it, not because doing so would actually violate his privacy, given that the name is well known, but because to someone unfamiliar with the case it looks, well, bad. For a while I was keeping track of edits where he names himself. At the risk of saying too much, the Chicago police know his name, and have arrested him at least ten times, maybe eleven, and he spent three years in jail for stalking and harassment. He's well known to them. Thank you for your help with this; it's a frustrating case. He's not a normal "troll" but a seriously ill individual. Antandrus (talk) 19:02, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wow. This is even weirder and more tragic than I had so far grasped. Thanks for the explanation! (And I could have just checked the history of this very page to learn that the name in question is no secret.) Tuvalkin (talk) 19:17, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
