After my original posting, other contributors improved and expanded the samples provided on the original page. I believe they enriched it.

Possibly, but there are no references that uses this name for the adapter pattern before the creation of the article, so it is clearly not a general name for it. --OpenFuture (talk) 08:50, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
