Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Exploding animal (3rd nomination)

I actually think there's a reasonable case to be made for deletion here, and I would have voted delete if the debate hadn't been speedily closed. I'm not familiar with the history of the nominator, but in any case, I've yet to see any outside sources that discuss "Exploding animals" as a general topic. The article is just a mishmash of loosely related events. Some of the animals purposely blow themselves up as a means of defense; some are blown up by external forces. Some of the animals (like the "exploding snake") might not have even exploded at all. I realize that one or more articles were recently merged with this one, but I'm not sure if that merge was particularly well-thought-out. Indeed, the AFD for Exploding donkey, which led to a merger, was only up for a few hours itself. Zagalejo^^^ 09:07, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
