Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Dew computing
Csccsudh (talk) 18:50, 1 February 2016 (UTC)I wonder why this item should be deleted. As an emerging idea, dew computing has been attracting more and more researchers although it has a very short history. I have just asked some of my students working on this topic since last September.
By reading the history of this controversy, it seems to me that the reason for deletion of this item is just because there were two different versions and editors and authors could not reach an agreement. The debating point is who is the originator of this terminology/technology. My opinion is to keep the article but remove any sentence that mentioned the originator, just list the history and references. The readers and researchers will have their own judgement.
- I'm afraid that you have completely misunderstood. This is about the subject not being notable. We simply don't write articles about "emerging" ideas. They need to have emerged and then been written about by reliable sources before we can even think of covering them.
- You can register a "Keep" suggestion on the AfD page if you want to, although this is not a vote and you will need to give a much more convincing reason than that above if you expect it to make any difference. The fact that you seem to have registered your account solely to comment on this one, extremely obscure, topic certainly does not bar you from having your say although some might ask how the matter came to your attention in the first place. If you have been canvassed to come here and support retention of the article then that would be a concern. --DanielRigal (talk) 19:39, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
