This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Liberia. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Liberia|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Liberia. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Geez Liberia fails WP:GNG and WP:ORGCRIT. None of the sources cited in the article discuss the website. The first four sources are about the founder, not the website itself, and none of them appear to be independent of the subject. Versace1608 Wanna Talk? 03:45, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

- While I understand the concerns regarding notability and independence of sources, I believe Geez Liberia meets the WP:GNG and WP:ORGCRIT when considering the broader context of Liberian media. The website has been covered by multiple independent and reliable sources that discuss its operations, impact, and contributions to entertainment and news reporting in Liberia.
- Some of the cited sources do discuss the founder, but they also mention Geez Liberia in connection to its media activities, cultural influence, and industry recognition, which are relevant to the subject’s notability. Additional independent coverage from Liberian news outlets and international media platforms can also be added to strengthen verification and demonstrate the site’s significance within the Liberian media landscape.
- I recommend improving the article with clearer references and expanding the coverage section rather than deletion. The topic appears to hold local notability, which aligns with Wikipedia’s coverage of regional media organizations. Joshuawriteit (talk) 06:29, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. Fails WP:ORGCRIT. Seeing a bunch of puffery reporting in low quality media. Given the propensity for paid news pieces/PR in Africa I don't we can trust these are independent. Fails WP:GNG.4meter4 (talk) 20:38, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- Delete: The sources that discuss Geez Liberia appear in no way independent, given the self-aggrandizing/promotional tone ("This well-deserved recognition highlights Geez Liberia’s powerful influence on Liberian entertainment, culture, and its status as a leading voice in the country’s digital media landscape.") The Modern Ghana article is written by Blama himself. Smart News Liberia is not loading for me but its "sole purpose to publish positive contents" is not promising based on previews. Maybe FrontPage Africa could be used, but if that is the only source it is not enough to establish notability. -- Reconrabbit 20:49, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- • Keep — The article has been revised for neutrality and now includes several independent, reliable sources covering Geez Liberia and its role in Liberia’s media scene. The earlier issues have been addressed and the page now appears to meet [[WP:N]] and [[WP:RS]]. — MichaelMorris96 (talk) 06:01, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
