Here are some easy ways for you to get started as a Wikipedia editor right now. Follow your curiosity and don't be afraid to fix something if you think you can improve it

- Register an account. You can use your real name or not, your choice
- Introduce yourself on your userpage. What are your interests, what is your background? Share as much as you like.
- Set a goal
- Add a single sentence to an article with a formatted, high quality reference.
- Search
- Do some critical reading
- Lookup the main article on your speciality or area of interest. Just type it into the search box at the top right of the page.
- How would you rate the article?
- Can you find any errors? Biases? Omissions?
- How up to date is the content? Is it missing key recent (meta)studies or clinical practice recommendations?
- How well sourced is the article? Are there many references, or just a few?
- Click on an inline citation in an article (looks like [1]) and follow the outgoing link to the source. Does Wikipedia accurately summarize its contents?
- Lookup a medical controversy that you are aware of. How does Wikipedia approach presenting it? Does it give more weight to one point of view than another?
- Look up a public health issue which received attention in the media such as Breast cancer screening or |Vaccines and autism
- Compare any Wikipedia medical article with an UpToDate article on the same topic?
- What are their relative strengths or weaknesses
- Do they speak to a different audience?
