- Suspected sock or meat, IDNaa and 88.173.34.112 are single purpose accounts editing Gardasil and related HPV vaccine starting on October 26 (IDNaa) and October 24. After reversion of unsourced additions, IDNaa put in more claims and source, 88.173.34.112 expanded source, more interspersed edits [1]. I reverted bc of undue weight and also there was not relavence for the section, IP address reverted back and then IDNaa reverted and reverted back.

I hope this is the right place to respond: As a new user I had (and have) some finger-trouble. I thought that when I write an entry, I was "known" by a user-ID I should give, but saw the entry was logged by IP number. I have not found how I can modify this, or "undo" this. One of my tries was to "reopen" it, but this did not allow me the change, only put back the original entry (still with IPnumber) somebody had deleted. The entries you mention should be signed "IDNaa" and I appreciate if someone please can point me to how I can have it modified so the IPnumbers in the requested entries are replaced with user=IDNaa? I am absolutely not using different accounts (I have only one account). After this trouble I have found that I have to log in by using the "Secure server", otherwise my browser setting (?) seams to drop my login-information, and when that happens my entry will be logged with whatever IPnumber is actual (so different IP numbers will also occur). This was not intended, and help is mostly welcome. I hope this explains and I also apologize for the inconvenience.
Also, I am thankful if someone please can be kind and point me to how I can address the user who deletes my entries, for further discussion with that user. Thanks for your understanding. IDNaa (talk) 14:04, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It would have helped if RetroS1mone had followed the SSP policy, and asked me (when it was obvious I was modifying my own entry): "Assume good faith, if possible. An alternate account that is not used for abuse does not warrant a complaint. Keep in mind that users may sometimes make mistakes, so in cases where an alternate account is largely used for legitimate activities, it may be appropriate to ask the user before making accusations. The problem might merely have been caused by a mistaken login or other absent-mindedness." While I appreciate the pointers I have got later, this could have been avoided IDNaa (talk) 20:09, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
Sounds more like newbie confusion than abusive sockpuppetry. No evidence shown that the user was intentionally trying to appear to be multiple people. Other problems may exist but those are for WP:COIN or WP:ANI, not WP:SSP. —Wknight94 (talk) 13:53, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
