Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Rollback

Rollback

Hi I am requesting rights to use the rollback feature as finding vandalism has actually been a very cool thing for me. I am requesting to be able so I don't have to undo multiple edits by spam-vandals, as I feel like it makes me kind of a spammer when I do this, and doing it all at once would be a great thing. I will admit that I had absolutely no idea that anyone could post warnings on talk pages, I thought that only admins and other experienced members who are given rights could do so. I just want to feel like less of a spammer when reverted edits, so I am requesting this rollback feature. Thanks, MakaylaHippo1998 MakaylaHippo1998 (talk) 05:55, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism is a very rampant issue on this wiki, and most of the vandalism are made on biography pages, and I want to revert these vandalized edits. Shaneapickle (talk) 17:17, 5 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. I agree with Tamzin's comments on your talk page. Adding more permissions is not the right step at this stage. Giraffer (talk) 23:11, 6 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've been RC Patrolling for a few years now (more consistently recently, but intermittently before that), and I think counter-vandalism work has been the bulk of all the edits I've ever made on Wikipedia. I hadn't bothered to request Rollbacker before this as I've been getting on quite well with Twinkle for a long while now so I didn't really see the point. However, more recently, as I've spent longer and more regular periods of time reverting larger quantities of edits, I've been getting a bit frustrated with some of the slowdowns with Twinkle. I am requesting Rollbacker as I've heard it's a lot faster and smoother than Twinkle, and I am also interested in trying out some of the rollbacker tools (e.g. Huggle) to see if they work well for me and if I can use them to combat vandalism more effectively.
