I spend a lot of time on Wikipedia. I do a lot of edits everywhere. Also, I have had experince with vandals. I think I would fit in into the admin community.
Self-nomination
Optional questions for the nominee
[change source]- What admin work do you intend to participate in? --Auntof6 (talk) 23:25, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- I intend to participate in ALL admin work. PokestarFan (talk) 00:28, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- What administrative actions have you seen that you would have handled differently, and what would you have done? (It's OK if it was something I did!) --Auntof6 (talk) 23:25, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- I dunno. PokestarFan (talk) 00:28, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- What areas of admin work do you feel most ready to handle? What areas do you feel least ready to handle? Are there any areas you prefer not to handle at all? --Auntof6 (talk) 23:25, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- I would handle deleting the most. You just see a lot of un-needed content these days. I would focus on blocks afterwards. I would also work hard against vandalisim. Finally, I would not like to work at changing user rights, as it is easy to mess up.PokestarFan (talk) 00:28, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- When do you think pages should be protected? When should they not be protected? Answer for both semi-protection and full protection. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:25, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Pages should be semi-protected when there is a lot of vandalism going on. Important pages such as parts of the Main Page, and maybe policies should be fully-protected. PokestarFan (talk) 00:28, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

- Sorry, I'm not going to score you. Those weren't pass/fail questions; they were just to get some insight into how you see the job of adminship. I might comment later on your responses, and other users are also free to comment on them. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:13, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[change source]Oppose
[change source]- I have to oppose your bid for Adminship. Your track record on this wiki with numerous warnings - including a final warning in regards to the one strike policy - leads me to believe that you don't grasp the rules and culture of Simple. You do a fair bit of work on templates, and have a lot of enthusiasm, but you show signs of irresponsibility (see again enwiki and your repeated unblock requests, or your overighted edits here) and - in my opinion - need a lot more time and experience. You also don't have a lot of mainspace edits but a lot of user space edits. In your own words, you still have a lot to learn. --Lithorien (talk) 23:54, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose for many reasons. Your account is less than one month old, your talk page history shows that you've been warned numerous times for policy violations, and your username "PokerstarFan" comes off as an advertising for the pokerstars website. You have a very very long way to go before you consider applying for such a role. I'm sorry, but this is a no-brainer oppose. I don't want you to be left feeling discouraged because of my (and what will be many others') votes here; you need to spend time gaining experience, adding content, patrolling logs, and getting a full unquestionable grasp on all Wikipedia policies before you consider applying for adminship. I wish you the best of luck :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 00:02, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - apart from what other editors have brought up above, I was particularly perplexed by this edit. To find out more about how this wiki works and how to edit, please take a look at Help:Contents. Chenzw Talk 02:53, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. PokestarFar has been a user here less than a month. S/he doesn't have a good grasp of procedures here, as evidenced by:
- S/he created Category:Language stubs and Template:Language-stub without first learning about our procedures for stubs.
- S/he receives regular talk page messages about things s/he does that are against our policies and procedures. Most of the things are not major and are to be expected in a new user, but they're not what I'd want to see with someone asking to be an admin. See User talk:PokestarFan and User talk:PokestarFan/Archive 1 for specifics.
- Finally, s/he didn't understand how to add this nomination to the requests for permissions page -- I had to delete what s/he added and transclude the nomination page myself.
- Although not necessarily a reason to deny adminship here, it's worth noting the following issues this user has had on other sites:
- Indefinitely blocked on enwiki. When asking to be unblocked there, s/he cited good behavior here on Simple, even though there were issues with the work here.
- Has been censured for repeatedly uploading copyrighted images at Commons.
- For these reasons, I oppose this nomination. Even if s/he does not receive any special rights, I encourage him/her to read the various policies, guidelines, and procedures that we have in order to be a better contributor. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:05, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[change source]- Understood: I understand if I don't make it into adminship. Even for me, the request was a little early. Also, I had forgotten about my many warnings. PokestarFan (talk) 00:33, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- There are a few things I want as well.
- Can someone make a list with all the policies(no description, but linked to policy page) to use when reviewing edits.
- Can I request a username change from "PokestarFan" to "The PokeWikipedian"(Correct my Wikipedian spelling if necessary)?
- Thanks. PokestarFan (talk) 00:33, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't know of a list of everything that should be checked when reviewing edits. That comes with experience. You could just review all the policies: after all, adminship isn't just about reviewing articles.
- Global user renames can be requested at Special:GlobalRenameRequest. Please don't request that while this request for adminship is still open. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:13, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- I think that the user should review WP:NOTNOW as it looks like this request was made too soon. Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 07:26, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- I agree. I would contribute to this RFA, but I would hate to pile on. //nepaxt 19:17, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- CloseHow do I close a request? PokestarFan (talk) 20:30, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- P.S. would like this to be moved to User:PokestarFan/Requests for permisions/Adminship/1. PokestarFan (talk) 20:30, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- One of the bureaucrats will see your request and close the page. But, they won't put this page in your userspace. They will probably archive it at this page: Wikipedia:Administrators/Archive11 //nepaxt 20:45, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Paging bureaucrats: @Eptalon, Barras, and Chenzw: can someone close? The candidate is requesting a withdraw. Only (talk) 20:55, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
