(1/5/1) FINAL; Ended 19:31, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Plm209 (talk · contribs) - An avid user and editor of Wikipedia, I have been involved in the anti-vandal process for several months as well as being active in contributing to the tasks requested on the Community Portal. I feel I am an excelent candidate for nomination due to my undying love for the principles which Wikipedia has set forth in its mission, my dedication and attention to detail, and my hatred for blatant vandalism. Thank you to everyone who gave me the constructive citicism. I have decided to withdraw my nomination and hope to learn more about Wikipedia and try again in a few months.
Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I accept the nomination. I withdraw my nomination.Plm209 (talk • contribs • count) 19:33, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I intend to take part in antivandalism work, wikification as per Wikipedia standards, and helping new users to get started editing constructively to Wikipedia.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: My best contributions to Wikipedia those pertaining to antivandalism and to NPOV related work. I feel that Wikipedia should be a place where facts and truths are the only presented information and that vandalism and non NPOV contributions tend to undermine the standards upon which Wikipedia was built. My work on these topics helps to justify the purpose of Wikipedia and to create a more platonic relationship with the world as a whole.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have been involved in a few conflicts in the past, mostly through antivandal work. I have dealt with the issues by first attempting to discuss through user talk pages, then by making necessary edits, and finally by contacting the admin to avoid geting into an editing war and violating the 3RR rule.

Oppose
- It's a first, if I remember correctly, but I have to oppose here for a lack of Wikispace participation (34 edits including those for this nom), and only 34 main talk edits, sorry. —AldeBaer 17:33, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose few article talk edits, few WP edits, zero WP talk edits, little participation since January. I hate to oppose based on experience (I probably have some of the loosest experience guidelines around, in fact), as Plm seems like a fine user, but not one who should have the tools yet (or, judging from Q1, one who even needs the tools). -- Kicking222 17:39, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose The only evidence that we have to make judgement on is your level of involvement in, and competence in, admin-related topics, which exist in wikispace. And you do not seem to have been there very much, so I am unhappy at the idea of giving you the tools at this time. Get into wikispace and contribute there, and come back in three months time.--Anthony.bradbury 17:54, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose briefly: low activity, insufficient experience. Sorry. —Anas talk? 17:56, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose You are not ready for adminship yet, but don't worry! You may get it yet. Just edit for a few more months and learn about Wikipedia, and you may succeed on your next RfA. Captain panda 18:42, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Neutral
- I'm not usually one to use arbitrary metrics as a measure of someone's ability, so I won't oppose based on that but the very low wikispace edits makes it hard to judge the user's grasp on policy. User seems genuinely interested in making Wikipedia a better place, but the answer to Q1 can all be accomplished with the tools available to a standard user. Nothing here to make me oppose, just nothing here to make me support, either. Arkyan • (talk) 17:38, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
