I think Macdonald-ross would make a great administrator. He has been very active on this Wiki and has made more that 30000 edits. He has helped in anti-vandalism, article creating and many more. He is a very experienced editor of this Wiki. --Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 17:47, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Do we need more admins? We have rather a lot already, though it is true that five or six do almost all the work. Fewer still are active contributors to article content. I am definitely that type: I write articles and revise articles which need revising. Maybe we should have another admin with plenty of writing experience. On that basis, I accept your nomination. Thank you. Macdonald-ross (talk) 05:59, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Support As per my nomination. --Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 05:21, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Support All experienced editors should have admin tools, but you must promise to keep your main focus on creaqting, and don't get bogged down in administrivia, not an easy balancing act :( --Peterdownunder (talk) 23:27, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Support - It is obvious that you won't abuse the tools and that you surely know how to use them correctly. What I actually was thinking of is whether you will keep such a great content editor as you are now or if you will stick to the administrative stuff with a huge part of your time. I really value what you do content-wise for that project, in that part you are surely one of the most prolific people we've ever had on this project! It would simply be a great loss if you'd do less content work when you are elected and that is actually the only reason I've never offered you a nomination. I've no doubt that you'd also do an amazing work as admin here, but I didn't want you to probably burn out on admin stuff. However, just take care, you will be a great admin and you will do a great job in that area, just as you do a great job as editor! -Barras talk 11:01, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Support - I think Macdonald-ross is among the most trusted people here, and I think that giving him the tools to fight vandalism better, and to act against editors defacing content pages would only be fair. Having the trust of the community, and having the tools to fight vandalism are not mutually exclusive, but they compement each other. Yet, losing your content-editing would be a great loss, as the people above have pointed out.You have my fullest possible support. --Eptalon (talk) 11:22, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Support since Mac says he's not unwilling to have the tools. --(✉→Arctic Kangaroo←✎) 15:18, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Support -- Please do not let admin work, interfere with your article work. I do agree with peterdownunder that all qualified editors/users should have access to the tools they need to complete the work they do and help protect the wiki. Enfcer (talk) 16:48, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[change source]- Doesn't particularly want the adminship, in fact actively states he doesn't... Also there doesn't appear to have been any discussion before the nomination was started. If the user doesn't particularly want the tools then I'm not happy to support. That being said I don't think the user would abuse them so won't oppose. - Have to admit I had been stuck on this same sticking point. -DJSasso (talk) 13:40, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Just a brief note. I intend to continue editing work on pages, I enjoy it and it is useful. Reception 123's proposal was the third time the suggestion had been made to me: this time I decided to accept, but not reluctantly. Anything I do, I try to do well.
