I am requesting for adminship as I have noticed an increasing number of vandals on this wiki but there is no one(except me) to revert the edit. Besides, I would have to constantly look for an administrator to help out in doing administrative actions. Like a constantly vandalising IP address would not get block so soon as there is no administrators around.

I am very familar with using administrator tools as I work using MediaWiki.

3. I agree with Kansan. A quick look (Admins only, sorry) shows only 15 QD's. I also only see four edits to WP:VIP (Only 3 of the edits were reports) and it looks like only one of those reports recieved any admin action. I just don't think you are ready for adminship yet. 5. As much as I hate to make it feel as if we're all piling on, I'm afraid it's an oppose from me as well:

   • You don't meet the edits or the time period criteria for adminship.
   • You have very few QD tags and VIP reports from the link above and from what I have been told, therefore suggesting you don't have a need for the tools.
   • You don't seem to understand what the tools are for from your opening statement:
     • You don't need to be an administrator to revert vandalism, anyone can do it.
     • I believe times have changed, but there (was) always administrators around, even not editing. A report to VIP or a ping on IRC will get action.
     • It's rare to get constant IP vandalism, and when we do it's normally cross-wiki. A ping to a Steward should solve that problem.
     • Blocks don't always need to be applied immediately - people will often stop after a few warnings, and if they don't, just repeat the steps above.
