Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A:I can't tell you how many times I have seen a nonsense page created, and there isn't much I can do but tag it. I would like to help get rid of these pages to help better the encyclopedia.
I would also like to take part in blocking persistant vandals. They ruin what we work for here, and I would like to take part in stopping it.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A:Hm... my best contributions... Well, I always think that a small edit can go a long way. Be it adding a Reception section, or shrinking a picture, I feel that it can help our encyclopedia in so many ways, by making it more informative, more encyclopedic or just plain look better, we can seem like professionals here.
I know I have not made the best choices in Wikipedia, but I have gotten over being one of those darn vandals, and now I try to help.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A:No, not really, but User:Angie Y. canvassed me about how User:TTN merged the episodes of Code Lyoko, which turned into a whole fiasco. I was not really involved, though. Wait- let me rephrase that. The fiasco was caused by Angie Y.'s anger towards the merging, not the canvassing.

Discussion
[edit]- Completely apart from how this RfA ends up going, I'd suggest turning on the "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" feature in your preferences (last item under the Editing tab). It's important to explain your edits, both as an editor and as an administrator. EVula // talk // ☯ // 16:44, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Done. I have really been trying to use summaries lately. Thanks, Codelyoko193 TalkSign here 16:50, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Support
- Moral support Why not let him become an admin? After all, adminship is no big deal. He may not have a load of experience but at least he's sensible. I'd suggest withdrawel though--Phoenix 15 20:53, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- To be fair, the "no big deal" quote is four and a half years old; Wikipedia has changed drastically since then. EVula // talk // ☯ // 21:47, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Let's get this straight, you want to let him become an admin, but you suggest withdrawal? ~ Sebi [talk] 22:55, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I think he's suggesting withdrawal because it he thinks the RfA is unlikely to succeed, not because of the candidate. EVula // talk // ☯ // 23:02, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose
- Oppose. Sorry, the candidate needs more experience. Majoreditor 17:55, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. Codelyoko193 is a very good ordinary editor, but he's not quite ready to become an admin. Please see my comments at Wikipedia:Editor review/Codelyoko193. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 19:33, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Sorry, but I think you need some more experience before becoming an admin. For example, try helping out at WP:AIV, WP:UAA, or WP:XFD. Icestorm815 20:36, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - Nope. Sorry bud. For reasons stated above. ScarianTalk 21:43, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry, Codelyoko193. You have not done any admin work. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 22:39, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose While it is great that you want to be an admin, you should read this and participate more with admin duties. Phgao 23:03, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - while you have been around for an adequate amount of times, you have not really participated in the areas that are necessary to be familiar with as an Admin. I politely suggest you withdraw. Check out the Wikipedia links Icestorm provided you above and come back 4 months from now.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 23:41, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose As per Persian Poet Gal Sorry for the reasons stated above.I would suggest that you later after a few months.Pharaoh of the Wizards 23:57, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. An excellent editor, but more experience is needed in admin-like areas. I'd recommend WP:AFD, it's one of my favorites. Also, try to use the edit summary more ofen, it helps other editors understand what you were doing. Useight 00:09, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. Unfortunatly, I feel that you might want some more experience in project space and mainspace. Come back in about 4 more months, and I'll give you my support. Thanks for trying to serve the community though! --Hirohisat 紅葉 00:31, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose per above. More experience, wikiprojects, etc. And the community has spoken. Miranda 01:05, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
