My reason for requesting adminship is it would give me more ways to help, since I haven't thought of another article to write yet. On simple, I started six articles so far: Pages created by Chuck Marean Also, this request will draw attention to the latest article I wrote, Conservatives in the United States, which somebody said needs help to be more neutral and easier to read. I've got the article as good as I can get it, so if more people work on it maybe it can get marked as a good or very good article. Writing that article, I read two books and some encyclopedia articles, including English Wikipedia. I began reading another book on the subject and wrote a couple of sentences based on part of chapter one, but I editorialized a little because Fox News does that a lot (its on at my house quite a lot). It would be cool to have something I wrote be considered very good, so I'm taking this serious. If I was an admin I would take that serious too. I've got the time to help out a little. I think a free encyclopedia is a good idea. My income is too low to qualify for a credit card, so I don't use non-free sites. Candidate's acceptance: Self-nomination. I accept this nomination.

Oppose. Sorry I have to be the first one to comment. You have only a total of 99 edits, with just 6 in the project space. I suggest you familiarize more before you start using these tools. As a side note, you only have a handful of global contributions as well, and is also blocked at en.wiki. And more importantly to me, you have not signed your request above. Oppose. Per Rehman. You won't have a great chance of getting it due to your history. Closing admin/bureaucrat please close this as per WP:SNOW. Hydriz (talk) 10:06, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]- Oppose - Nowhere near enough edits in the article space (See Here) Blocked on en.wiki per Rehman isn't good either. - Hey man. Thanks for offering your service! Unfortunately, I feel you do not have enough experience, or enough trust from the community to use the admin tools right now. A good place to start, would be reading through Wikipedia:Criteria for administratorship and making sure you meet all the criteria. I did a quick look, and I didn't see any quick deletion requests, or any reports to WP:VIP. These two areas are very important, as they are where you would be working most as an administrator. Maybe you can start doing some anti-vandalism work on top of your great article creation. The administrator tools allow you to block people who are harming Wikipedia, delete pages that don't belong, and a few other things. Having the admin tools doesn't get you any special status, and really won't help with getting attention to your articles. I hope you can keep working on the Simple English Wikipedia, and hopefully we can see you back here after some progress has been made.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 12:26, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Clear oppose. Candidate appears to lack judgement, and his record is about the worst it could be. Not only do we not need more admins, we especially don't need any who may be a problem. A time for SNOW, I think. Macdonald-ross (talk) 12:34, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Adminship is all about vandal fighting. It also requires supporting a NPOV, even when it opposes the truth. I don't see you doing much of either. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 12:48, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
