Aflumpire (talk · contribs) - This is my 2nd bite at the cherry now after I deleted my 1st request because I didnt have enough edits. Well..I only have 445 edits. I know that you guys look for something like 5 or 10 times more edits than that before looking at the person becoming an admin but I think I have something else. I think that even though I have a 'low' number of edits, I think I am ready for this job. I have experience in the outside world with umpiring sports. I know when to make the quick decision, or to review it accordingly. I have made a lot of successful requests for deletion, I have tackled vandals head on and stopped them in their tracks. I have been banned but that was over a silly 3 day period and one of the vandalisms on my account was not done by me. I am ready for the job. I know I am. Weather I have 450 edits, I might as well have 450 000 edits under my belt as I am ready for a new exciting role in Wikipedia. OK, I have a black mark against me, I have only a handfull of edits under my best but hey, look at the edits I have done. I think im doing a good job. Thanks for reading.
Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: Blocking those hated vandals and keep an eye out for articles needed to be deleted. I have already spent hours of my time dong that and I feel that a lot of my time has paid off. But I want to make more of an influence to Wikipedia. And I want to do more. I want to a part of a Wiki Project. Not just Wikiprject Australia but also other wiki projects from the likes of Japan, Canada. I want to be more invovled and I know I can do them. Im joing them after I finish this. I want to be a part of changing Wikipedia for the better. Even if it's beating vandals one by one.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: Speedy deletions, reporting vandals, sock pupets and sporting articles. I have good, solid experience in all of those topics just listed. Not every one of my edits may be the best, but I put in all that I know into them. If a speedy deletion is needed, I report it. If a vandal needs a final warning, I report it. If a sporting article or airport article needs improving, im there front and centre. I make lots of good edits. Some of my best have came from not editing, but reporting serial vandals and sock puppets
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: Yes, I was recently blocked indefinatley for continual vandalism which I did not do. I made fun on Kevin Rudd's age. Then my cheeky friend had gone onto my computer and as I am permanently loged in (or was) into Wikipedia at home, he did a few silly things and did a thing on the Homosexuality page. I am also having difficulty with FITE DEMOND. He has been a neusence with me lately a I have found he is a continual vandal. I keep warning him but he is retaliating. In the future, I will do my best to just ignore it. I can do that as that is an essential skill with umpiring. I deal with many conflicts every time I steep on to the sporting arena. I deal with it, then simply move on to the next problem.

Oppose
- Oppose Sorry my friend. 500 or 5000 edits aside, 1) Your block was three weeks ago, far to recent for me to overlook. 2) this clearly shows you really don't have a grip of policy 3) Your answers are, well, boiler plate and weak to be honest and 4) Next time run your RfA answers via a spell checker or something before transcluding.... "neusence with me...." "Weather I have 450 edits..." etc. Sorry, I appreciate your enthusiasm and desire to help out since you block. Don't be put off from helping. - Oppose, sorry. Rather than through my regular check of the RFA page, I arrived here following the trail from User talk:Afil: you just tagged Dumicuş River for CSD for the reason "article too small, to little information", which doesn't fit anywhere into WP:CSD criteria, while the article—although really short—clearly does say what is its subject, lists two references, and most rivers are notable by default. You proceeded by warning the user for vandalism, not exactly in line with WP:AGF. Just today, you tagged the Denis Casavant (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) article twice for CSD A7, despite the fact that a previously reviewer clearly stated that there's an assertion of notability; the second db-bio tag didn't even have an edit summary. Sorry, I think that just those two fresh cases show too poor a judgement and unfamiliarity with basic policies such as CSD. Duja► 07:34, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose - I think that removing someone's else's AIV report prematurely as you did here less that an hour ago showed a considerable lapse in judgment. If I wasn't so trusting, I might even find it slightly suspicious. --Bongwarrior 07:43, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - recently blocked for vandalism - by his own admission is permanently logged in allowing for "other people" to vandalize from his IP - not to mention the apparent lack of grasp of policy - I think this can only be regarded as a frivolous self-nomination. - Per above, suggest withdrawal. - Mailer Diablo 08:06, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
