Explanation
[edit]Alright. I will attempt to explain. I have been using Wikipedia for a long time and editing as an IP. I was familiar with the policies. I never knew what my IP is and it has changed (family use) to 77.134.432.432. I have never edited with that so it's not a sockpuppet. I had become very comfortable and decided to make an account so that I could become an administrator. I made many important edits to wikipedia articles. I read the policies. I made this account simply so that I could have further powers to be able to further help Wikipedia.
Nomination
[edit]1234r00t (talk · contribs) – I am dedicated to making correct edit reverts for spam. I also would look forward to being able to ban users who have added inappropriate material to Wikipedia. I believe that IPs or users that have spammed should be blocked for 1 day at first and 1 month after second offense. Mr. R00t Leave me a Message 23:23, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I plan to take part in edit reverts and speedy deletion debate closing.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: I believe that my best contributions are my reverts of spam and other mistakes made by users or IPs
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have not had any problems with anyone other than 76.175.144.175 who called us certain swearwords. I dealt with this calmly and asked someone to revert his unpleasantness and ban him/her/it.

[edit]- Not now. The fact that you mentioned "speedy deletion debates" and misused the term "ban" instead of "block" leads me to believe you don't yet have the experience necessary to be an administrator. Work in various areas a bit, contribute some content, etc., and I will be happy to support you in a future RfA. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 00:06, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Not now Per WP:NOTNOW. Registered <1 month ago. Reverting vandalism and nominating articles for speedy deletion doesn't require adminship. As Shirik mentioned CSD's are not debated so you might want to get some more experience before trying again. Jarkeld (talk) 00:09, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- What he said. You don't seem to understand how Wikipedia works yet, and this is an environment where you need to learn to walk before you can run. – iridescent 00:10, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Maybe later. You're obviously off to a good start, but I don't think you yet have the technical knowledge of what an administrator does nor the policy knowledge of how they do it. Adminship isn't easy and it's not a trophy or a symbol of power, but a position of trust. Show us you can be trusted (that takes time) and we'll support you. :) HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:20, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry, you've nowhere near enough experience to gain the community's trust right now. But please try again later. Rodhullandemu 00:30, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Unfortunately, since we have no way to see what your previous contributions have been as an IP, there's no way to gauge if you can be trusted with the tools. You'll need to get a few thousand edits and several months under this account before the community will have enough data to make a decision. --Joshua Scott (LiberalFascist) 00:57, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
