Wikipedia:COMPARINGAPPLESTOAPPLES

If some reliable and independent source (like an academic book written by someone not related to the author of X) writes that "X is popular/notable/well-known", does that really count for nothing? Also, I didn't know where to ask this but since you are disputing my essay, perhaps you can clarify the meaning of "significant coverage" as used in Wikipedia? An entire book written about the topic by someone else? What if the book is written by the author of X? An entire chapter written by someone else? A magazine article written by someone else? As pointed out below, there is already a userspace version. Delete all versions and shortcuts in project space, leaving exactly one in userspace. Duplicating/forking material, even within userspace, is undesirable. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:58, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
