Users never left

[edit]

These templates have basically the same information, so a master template was created that could handle variables to make it say the same thing those below say all in one template. The master template can replace two templates at once. Please note, I like user templates and hope that the reduction of them will help keep them in Template space where they belong. The users have been given at least a week of notice that the master was available. If necessary the user pages affected by this change will be converted by hand. - LA @ 18:54, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{User never left}} replaces...

Template:User never left Northern Hemisphere (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Template:User never left Southern Hemisphere (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Template:User never left Eastern Hemisphere (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Template:User never left Western Hemisphere (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

{{User never left}} should stay in template space since it is a multipurpose template and the others need to be deleted as they are redundant. - LA @ 15:27, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Userfy {{User never left}}, and userfy or delete the other 4. Unencyclopedic templates such as these belong in userspace, not template space. The only userboxes that should be in template space should be beneficial to encyclopedia building. VegaDark (talk) 01:52, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Userfication of the multifunctional template defeats the purpose of its creation. It was created for the sole purpose of replacing the four templates to keep the multifunctional one in template space. Moving it to user space would also make writing the transclusion longer, requiring more space to store the transclusion text. - LA @ 14:33, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
