The result of the discussion was speedy close. We generally only delete user talk pages in exceptional circumstances, preferring to keep them as accessible records. This is not one of those circumstances. I see no BLP violations for which immediate removal is warranted, as was the case at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Deepmath, although there is a lot of soapboxing about police activities and some purportedly "helpful" instructions that will actually result in damage to one's PC if followed, that I suspect the community will not be happy with. The telephone discussion is problematic, but again doesn't seem to be over the BLP line to warrant immediate removal. MFD is not the tool for resolving the problems with this user. Ironically, using this very page for communication, as at User talk:Deepmath#July 2009 and User talk:Deepmath#Malicious deletion of user page for examples, is one route. Problems with this user, xyr edits, and xyr use of user space, should be discussed with the user, and taken to RFC if that fails. MFD is not the tool for this job. The page looks like a blog or a private web page with very little Wikipedia content. --Sjö (talk) 17:51, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. It is inappropriate to delete a user talk page with multiple appropriate comments from other users. I would not object if the user's own blog-like comments were removed. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:04, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I want my main user page restored, too. It contained much information as well as links to my work on Wikipedia. If you feel that certain content was inappropriate, you could have discussed that on my user talk page before deleting my main user page. If you feel it is inappropriate to restore my main user page, please e-mail me the text so that I can place it on my own Web page independent from Wikipedia. I was not offered any input into the discussion or the opportunity to save a backup copy before my page was deleted. Deepmath (talk) 18:50, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Question: Would "the user's own blog-like comments" be more appropriate for User:Deepmath than User talk:Deepmath, or are they inappropriate for Wikipedia altogether? Deepmath (talk) 19:54, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Answer: Yes, they are inappropriate for Wikipedia altogether per Wikipedia:User page#What may I not have on my user page?.Sjö (talk) 05:14, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Which comments, exactly, are blog-like? Deepmath (talk) 06:55, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think that you are smart enough to figure out for yourself which ones that are not appropriate. Basically, it's the same rules as on your user page.Sjö (talk) 21:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hej, Sjösjuk :) Deepmath (talk) 00:14, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is ridiculous. Get lost and stop pestering me! Deepmath (talk) 05:27, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
