The result of the discussion was keep.--Aervanath talks like a mover, but not a shaker 15:46, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Copy of Article Michael D. Lockshin; Advertising Christopher Kraus (talk) 20:59, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- Keep albeit I do not like it all that much. The article in mainspace likely fails if COI can be shown, despite notability. Rhat is not sufficient for userspace deletion on its own. If viewed as a c.v., it is below the couple of pages allowed in userspce. That said, I suggest a polite note to the editor is in order to determine if this is a COI issue. - Keep but remove as unnecessary duplication once the mainspace article gets kept, as it surely will, due to the absolutely clear notability--ed. in chief of a major journal among much else, fully satisfies WP:PROF as an authority in his field. . We do not delete articles for COI, and I can not think why the above ed. thinks we do. Proposals to do so have been soundly rejected--the consensus has always been, why should it matter, if someone is notable? It is reason to check for tone, and be skeptical generally, but that's all. - Mea culpa. I had seen COI raised as an argument for deletion in AfD in the past, and was mainly making the point that it did not apply to the MfD discussion here. Thanks. Collect (talk) 23:35, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Michael Lockshin clearly meets the wikipedia notability criteria. I will edit it per Eric Yurken's suggestions WikiPRNYC (talk) 20:43, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
- Keep afd of Michael D. Lockshin resulted in a speedy keep. This is just the author using userspace as a sandbox.SMSpivey (talk) 03:18, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
