Scott Gall's userspace

Scott Gall (talk · contribs) was blocked indefinitely some months ago for various offenses, including copyvios and nonsense edits. He also used his userspace as his own personal wiki, creating a variety of pages that had absolutely nothing to do with creating an encyclopedia. Some pages qualify as WP:INTERESTING, or, more accurately, "WP:BIZARRE". Witness User:Scott Gall/Scott's Land, his fantasy about becoming the totalitarian dictator of New Zealand. That's not to say any of this stuff is funny. It's not, and much of it is offensive, such as a joke about Anne Frank in User:Scott Gall/Jokes. szyslak 12:09, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: I have emailed Scott Gall through Special:Emailuser to alert him of this discussion, in case he wants to copy the pages to his computer for his own use. So if he shows up as an IP address, that's why. Personally, I think we should let him participate in this debate if he wants to, either as an IP or through his account. Though I support his indefinite block, I don't think he's such a grave danger to the encyclopedia that we can't let him voice his opinion about these pages. szyslak 23:14, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Each of the "Exhibits" violate GFDL since their is no attribution to their original writer. Then there is the whole "if I rule the world junk" which has no place here WP:NOT#MYSPACE. Delete most. A weak case could be made for keeping User:Scott Gall/Admin criterion since it's referenced in a few places and it's related to Wikipedia - though it is rather off-the-wall. The rest can definitely be deleted. Graham87 16:06, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was just thinking the same thing. I wouldn't be against keeping the admin criterion page, just in case there's any need to review an RFA from back when Scott was a regular participant there. And yes, it's quite off-the-wall -- it may have been a leg-pull or a silly WP:POINT exercise. Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Arcadian and Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Kelly Martin are the RFA's of the most high-profile users that reference Scott's admin criteria - in the case of Kelly's RFA, it was to show that there had been more absurd oppose reasons than "oppose, I don't want female admins". I believe the page was made in good faith, even though its connection to reality was tenuous. I don't see the point in deleting the admin criteria page. Graham87 02:02, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
