The result of the discussion was close, wrong venue. An MFD on a page that doesn't exist, with the intention to delete a namespace when that's beyond the power of any administrator (for obvious reasons), in an attempt to overcome an earlier RFC that was closed as showing consensus for the namespace to be activated? No. BencherliteTalk 12:25, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Education Program:Main is a new namespace implemented some time in fall 2012.[1] At present, use of the Education Program:Main namespace is "limited to users in one of the groups: Administrators, Course coordinators, Course online volunteers, Course campus volunteers, Course instructor" according to what is shown at present when you go to the Education Program:Main page. This namespace should be terminated and any pages within the namespace deleted (or moved to Wikipedia namespace). Having a namespace just for Education Program lacks consensus, is secondary to writing an encyclopedia, and sends us down the wrong path of creating namespaces for WikiProjects. The Education Program effort can be handled in Wikipedia:WikiProject Education Program. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 12:19, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- Close; wrong venue. To begin with, the page you have nominated doesn't exist; secondly, MFD doesn't have the power to delete namespaces; and thirdly, I encourage you to read Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Education Program extension, which was publicised via WP:CENT and other means at the time of discussion. — This, that, and the other (talk) 00:10, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

- *User namespace * Wikipedia namespace * Main/Article namespace * Education Program WikiProject namespace *. Three of these things belong together; one of these things just doesn't belong. Take a look at {{namespaces}} to the right of this post and you will see that Education Program:Main namespace just does not fit in with the other namespaces. Giving such significant, special treatment to a WikiProject sets a bias precedent. The poorly attended, obtuse discussion at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Education Program extension does not justify creating this member's only namespace to be used for purposes other than writing an encyclopedia. As for the MfD, the namespace exists and MfD is the place to discuss whether to terminate it. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 11:02, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- Well, not really. A better place would be WP:VPT, I think. — This, that, and the other (talk) 01:35, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
