File:Nancy Manter Stay Still.jpeg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Mianvar1 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

There is no mention of "Stay Still" or "flashe paint" in the article (WP:NFCC#8). — Ирука13 09:27, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The mention of the artwork was an accidental omission. It has been rectified. It serves as an overall representation of her most important body of work. Mianvar1 (talk) 16:09, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The article already contains the author's works, including flashe paint.
Please copy here the sentences from the article that would say that image serves as an overall representation of her most important body of work. — Ирука13 13:57, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

File:Tool - Ænima - Ænema - sample.ogg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Johnnyw (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

The file's contextual significance to rock song and the rock band potentially questionable. So is its compliance to be not excessive in size and amount. Default to delete if no one else opposes. George Ho (talk) 08:19, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • I maintain the article, but have never really understood the standards for when a music sample is or isn't appropriate for any given article. I didn't add the sample, but I also never removed it. For what its worth, it's certainly one of their most commercially successful song from the album of the same name, so it could certainly plausibly be asserted to be representative of their work if nothing else. Do what you will with it. Sergecross73 msg me 13:48, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, as the nom is so generic that it could be written about anything, and the wording seems to imply they're not even certain themselves, I'm starting to lean towards keep. As I mentioned, it is representative of the subject. Trim it up if its too long, though the band is known for their long songs, so even that could be argued that its necessary to convey the message. • Keep meets NFCC. Buffs (talk) 15:37, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Music sample is not subject to sourced critical commentary, fails to meet the contextual significance criterion. Commercial success is irrelevant to NFCC policy. plicit 00:07, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - This clip meets the contextual significance criterion at WP:NFC#CS because it is the subject of sourced commentary present in both articles where it appears: Tool (band) and Ænema. The clip contains the lyrics, "I want to watch it go right in / Watch you flush it all away." The chorus Ænema is: "Of freaks here in this hopeless fucking hole we call L.A. / The only way to fix it is to flush it all away / Any fucking time, any fucking day / Learn to swim, see you down in Arizona Bay." The sourced commentary discusses how the lyrics of the song make reference to a sketch from Bill Hicks's Arizona Bay. The track in particular is the album's eponymous track, Arizona Bay (the title track of the Arizona Bay Extended version of the album), in which Hicks contemplates the idea of Los Angeles falling into the Pacific Ocean: "L.A., which I refer to as hell-ay because it is the worst place on the planet and the sooner it falls into the ocean due to a major earthquake the better this world will be." This is now sourced in both articles, where the clip appears. - tucoxn\talk 10:32, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
