I see no passive aggressiveness here. If someone is deceased, free images cannot be taken any further. That is a bright line that cannot be resolved. That other free images may exist is irrelevant if no others are known. Buffs (talk) 21:53, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Looking at this person's uploads, I would hazard to guess they are working for EDGE. While there may be a conflict of interest. High res images aren't a problem. Most of these appear to be promotional shots that it's possibly well within the scope of their duties to take and release such photos for promotional purposes. Since there seems to be little evidence that these are NOT his photos to give away, I would be hesitant to say we should just blanket delete them, but it's worth querying further. Have you asked the uploader for clarification? While "this file" can be found elsewhere, it doesn't mean the others can be. Buffs (talk) 22:08, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I don't disagree that it's possible, but let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. I'm also not saying that the remaining images are his own work, but that he may be working for EDGE and it would be a reasonable conclusion to infer from his uploads and edit history (as much is noted on his user talk page). As such, he would/could be acting as an agent for the company authorized to release those images...and/or he took some of them himself. Also, our licensing process is clunky. MANY people pick the wrong license out of error. All that said, my Keep is not absolute. I'd like to hear from Trivia Kiwi Nut. I'm not holding my breath though.
