Per discussion at c:Commons:Requests for comment/Third-party images published by the National Weather Service on Commons, the copyright status of files sourced from the National Weather Service has been called into question. In particular, there is no direct source listed for this image. A reverse image search does not return any other hits, so it is difficult if not impossible to determine whether this photograph was taken by an NWS employee or a third party. @Rlandmann: pinging her in case she knows more about this photo. Ixfd64 (talk) 04:21, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Although unattributed at the source, this kind of image is typical of the photos taken by NWS damage survey teams.
Because the vast bulk of NWS damage survey team photos are unattributed on NWS websites, we generally do not attach any special significance to such images being unattributed. The threshold for inclusion on the Commons is significant doubt that the image is free. Although the level of doubt is not zero, it's pretty close to zero. --Rlandmann (talk) 07:10, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good find. I ran the photo through Google Images and TinEye, and neither returned hits from outside Wikipedia. Ixfd64 (talk) 16:19, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Flag of the Socialist Party of Albania.svg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Jyglesias3 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Logo is too complex for PD-simple (hand clutching flower in particular). As for the other public domain claim, Albanian law seems to refer to to "official bodies", which is more likely to be agencies of the government rather than political parties that contest control of said government. Unless we have previous case law that says otherwise, the precautionary principle suggests that deletion is the best choice.  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 22:36, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete – 100% agree with the above argument. The flag is neither simple text or images, nor is it government-produced content. Yue🌙 20:37, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Novel is old enough that a full-faced image would be PD. This image is from an angle, making it a photograph of a three-dimensional work, and thus not covered by PD-art  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 23:29, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
