Remove from Television in the United Kingdom (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) per WP:NFCC#8. There is no sourced critical commentary about the logo itself. Readers are able to understand the article subject without seeing the logo of a specific company/network. — JJMC89(T·C) 20:21, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Remove from Television in the United Kingdom per nominator. This is a general history type article which often includes some summarized information from various other articles about the subject per WP:SS, but which typically doesn't go it to the amount of detail to provide the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 to justify the use of non-free logos. This logo can be seen in the stand-alone article about the channel which is more than sufficient per WP:NFCC#3 and item 6 of WP:NFC#UUI; so, there's really no justifiable reason for using it in this article. Moreover, any sourced critical commentary about the logo itself would also likely not be appropriate for the genre-like "Television in the United Kingdom" article, so I cannot see any realy way to even add content to the article to justify non-free use.
Now, there might a possiblity that this is simple enough to be public domain for local use on English Wikipedia. It seems too complex to be {{PD-logo}} per c:COM:TOO#United Kingdom, but it might be PD in the United States per c:COM:TOO#United States. If the consensus is to convert the file to "PD-ineligible=USonly", it would no longer be subject to WP:NFCCP and could be used basically the same way as a PD file from Commons. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:23, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Remove from Television in the United Kingdom per nominator and also per WP:NFCC#10c. There is also no seperate specific non-free use rationale provided for the use in "Televison in the United Kingdom"; so, the file can be removed per WP:NFCCE. Simply providing the missing rationale seems pointless per WP:JUSTONE because any sourced critical commentary about the logo itself would also likely not be appropriate for a genre/history type of article "Television in the United Kingdom" article, so I cannot see any realy way to even add content to the article to justify non-free use.

  • Removed - No point explaining why I believe it meets NFCC #8 because at the end of the day whatever I say is going to count for nothing so removed. –Davey2010Talk 19:27, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
