Image is only for decorative purposes. It merely shows Homer and the children at his daycare. One can read the plot and see that Homer runs a daycare centre and will not need to see an image of him and children to be able to picture it, as it is not unusual at all. Image is purely decorative, simply depicts Homer seeing his house being put up for foreclosure. The foreclosure plot can be described with text alone and this image is not required to fully understand it. The caption of "Homer and Gil" does not suggest that there is anything special or encyclopedic about this image that makes it essential for our understanding Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 21:50, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this image is actually nonfree, it is evidently replaceable by any number of images found at Project Gutenberg or at the Internet Archive, or by scores of copyright-nonrenewed images in SF magazines of the 1950s. If it is actually free -- and I suspect it is -- the file page should be revised and the image transferred to Commons. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). I don't see anything on the source website stating that this image is public domain (or "no rights reserved" as it was originally tagged. Archive.org has a link from 2006 at [1] (the current page is identical to the 2006 version) and I fed it into Google Translate at [2] and nothing in there seems to speak to usage rights. Image is purely decorative. There is no mention of Mayor Quimby and the pre-whacked snakes in the plot section, because it is a minor joke in the episode. Nothing in the production or cultural references section suggest there is any real-world background to this scene or information about its production. The image fails in two of its fair use criteria: "This image illustrates the text next to which it appears, which describes the item portrayed."
