Violates WP:NFCC#3, multiple non-free items are being used when one (the main cover File:Lead - Still.jpg) suffices. In Japan, it is standard to release multiple versions with multiple covers for one single, but their use is not justified under policy. ℯxplicit 07:01, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

I found sources for three of AirportExpert's photos and one of his or her maps. The photo uploads are a variety of different sizes with no EXIF data and there's no reason to believe they aren't all copyright violations. --B (talk) 19:03, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- I looked at three images, and found all three as higher quality images on copyrighted websites. How cheeky. Magnolia677 (talk) 21:01, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Comment - AirportExpert has a number of uploads on Commons ... but from looking at them, I can't find sources for any of them. A few of them are high-res and believably cell phone videos. Example: File:Dynaudio VW Tiguan.jpg has EXIF data saying that it was taken from a cell phone moments before being uploaded to Commons. So I'm inclined to believe that that is really his photo. My only hesitation in speculating that all of his Commons images are actually his own work is that a lot of them are web resolution and if the car photos were from Craigslist, they would be long gone and we'd never find them doing a Google image search. --B (talk) 21:50, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

- File:Harry Chapin 1976.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Citybuild122 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Non -free image with no significant sourced commentary about the image. Fails WP:NFCC#8. Note that Commons has free images of Chapin. Whpq (talk) 21:32, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- It would appear that this has the wrong licensing. It should be licensed under "Official cover of an album". Citybuild122 (talk) 22:11, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Citybuild122: Is this reply intended for a different IFD nomination? The file File:Harry Chapin 1976.jpg is a photo of a person, not an album cover. --B (talk) 23:53, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- @B: If you look at On the Road to Kingdom Come, you will see that the picture is in fact on the back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Citybuild122 (talk • contribs)
- @Citybuild122 and B: - This is not quite true. The file under discussion is a photograph. That same photograph is used on the back cover of the album, but this image itself is not the back cover of the album. Allmusic has a picture of the back cover. See this entry; click on the cover image; scroll to get to the back cover. In any case, regardless of it being an element of the back cover, it's usage in the Harry Chapin article fails WP:NFCC#8. -- Whpq (talk) 19:21, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

- Changing this from a photo to an album cover changes nothing materially. The usage still fails WP:NFCC#8 in the Harry Chapin article. -- Whpq (talk) 19:22, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Whpq: Well, actually it changes a couple of things. It exonerates the need for discussion on this picture. The picture now has correct licensing and there is no further discussion required about the picture itself. If you believe that there is a problem with its usage, you should go to the page in question and take it up there. I added those pictures in the section to help readers get an idea of what was going on during that particular time period. Never claimed that this was a "fan site", nor am I treating it like one. When I made my "unofficial covers", they were meant to at least have something on the page. I have now learned that I can simply use the vinyl record. As I said, you can nominate those unofficial covers for deletion. Not a big deal on my end. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Citybuild122 (talk • contribs)
- @Citybuild122: Please re-read the nominating statement. How has changing the license addressed the issue of non-compliance with WP:NFCC#8? The nomination was never about the specifics of whether the image is a photo or album cover. -- Whpq (talk) 12:59, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Whpq: The way that it looks to me is that the photo can't be used in the article in which it is being used right now and the context that it is being used in. However, my point is that the photo can stay on Wikipedia. Citybuild122 (talk) 13:36, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Citybuild122: - It cannot stay on Wikipedia. Non-free content must satisfy all the npon-free content criteria. Since you acknowledge it can't be used on the Harry Chapin article, then WP:NFCC#7 applies after it is removed from the Harry Chapin article. -- Whpq (talk) 13:48, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

Not a real cover. This is not appropriate as a means s of identification. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a fan site. Whpq (talk) 21:36, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, this was an unofficial cover that I figured would suit the song. However, I have learned more about these things since I uploaded them a while ago. Go ahead and nominate it for deletion. I will be using the song's vinyl record as a picture, as done with other songs on Wikipedia. Citybuild122 (talk) 22:09, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
