Qualifies for {{PD-textlogo}} Jon Kolbert (talk) 01:04, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Then just retag the file, but is it the correct logo? Following the link to the company's website in the infobox, I find a logo which contains the company's full name (Rainier Beer), not just a single letter. --Stefan2 (talk) 12:27, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • There's no set "bar" for threshold of originality. Putting the files to a discussion gives us a chance to obtain consensus and I'm much more comfortable doing that than making potentially controversial changes without consensus.
  • With respect to which logo to use, I'd prefer the one used on the website. If this image is PD, that file would be as well. Jon Kolbert (talk) 14:14, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the change to pd-logo and transfer to Commons. Is there a chance that the "R" was used just to represent the Rainier Brewing Company (now defunct) and the full logo for the beer itself? The website is now only for the beer so a bit hard to tell. Salavat (talk) 04:08, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Similiar to Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2017 October 8#Non-free logos in Bids for the 2020 Summer Olympics, The non-free use of these logos in Bids for the 2016 Summer Olympics is decortive and seems unnecessary per WP:NFCC#1, WP:NFCC#3 and WP:NFCC#8 because of WP:NFTABLES, item 6 of WP:NFC#UUI, WP:NFLISTS and MOS:LOGO. Each of these files is used as the primary means of identification in stand-alone articles about the bids themselves and those particular non-free uses seem fine.

Suggest keep for their respective stand-alone articles and remove from "Bids for the 2016 Summer Olympics". -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:16, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This appears to be a photo of a developed photograph placed on some carpeting and would be a derivative work of the original photograph. Whpq (talk) 13:36, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, the software used to generate an image does not create a copyright on the image. Photographs taken with a Canon camera are not Canon's copyright, and documents written using Word are not Microsoft's copyright. Verbcatcher (talk) 20:52, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
