No indication that the uploader is the copyright holder as claimed. No OTRS permission from author that image is licensed under Creative Commons or GFDL. Nv8200p talk 14:04, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
i guess i didn't properly understand the rules regarding this photo. this is the author's author photo and the photographer gave him permission to use it to replace the picture from the texas book festival which he did not like and does not feel is a good likeness. they asked me to resolve this for them. i am posting a new image to the wikimedia commons which will be public domain to replace it since you say it does not conform to wikipedia regulations because the author does not want the picture that Nv8200p posted on his page. i hope this is clear.Wiki leedetailed (talk) 21:17, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Insufficient (close to no) evidence that the file is PD. Just because a file has been used on a NASA webpage doesn't mean NASA created it, and the cited source is likely fair use of a stock image rather than an original creation. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 19:00, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
