File is of poor quality and is not used on wiki. Can easily be recreated at higher quality if ever needed again. — trlkly 01:59, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, useless. Now I'm curious, because I've never heard of 3D floppies before. Nyttend (talk) 20:07, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Another NBC image sold through Getty and NBCU Photobank. Violates WP:NFCC#2. See similar request from yesterday: Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2012 July 16#File:Frasier Crane.jpg. Stefan2 (talk) 11:47, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment though you can't replace this with 6 different fairuse images, due to too many fairuse images, and any replacement would have to be fairuse, since the actors must be in character. -- 76.65.131.160 (talk) 04:00, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I must say that commercial use of a profitable image triumphs an educational use of it. I've tried to save File:Jaleel White Steve Urkel.jpg (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) from deletion, but it was too late. Even any attempt to save this commercial image may be a failure, not a success. If only NFCC#2 weren't there... Anyway, all NFCC are strong as an ensemble, so even any resolution may not lower the risks of deletion. --George Ho (talk) 18:06, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Queen Bicycle Race cover.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Miketm (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Image fails WP:NFCC#8, contextual significance, as the presence of the image does not significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would not be detrimental to that understanding. The article also lacks any sourced critical commentary about the image and is used as illustration in a gallery-like fashion. Armbrust, B.Ed. Let me quote the Jazz (Queen album) article:
http://www.queenpedia.com/index.php?title=JazzA bicycle race with nude women was held to promote the album, the single and the "Fat Bottomed Girls" single. This photo was included as a fold-out poster with the album "Jazz". It was also included as an alternate single cover for Bicycle Race.
Fold out included in album|thumb
Queen sold the album with a poster depicting the all-female nude bicycle race staged to promote "Fat Bottomed Girls". A small version of the poster comes with the Crown Jewels box set. This was the first Queen album recorded outside the UK, for tax purposes. Included in the liner notes is the attribution "Thunderbolt courtesy of God", referring to the crash of thunder heard at the end of the song "Dead On Time" which May recorded with a portable audio recorder during a thunderstorm. The album artwork was suggested by Roger Taylor, who previously saw a similar design painted on the Berlin Wall.
Keep - The image has been on a related article for the last five years. The image has contextual significance, and the presence of the image significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding. --evrik (talk) 17:58, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Keep - the article did and does explain the image and its relation to the article. The image is essential to describe the topic (a reader who has just heard the song and hasn't seen this image, or the video, won't understand all the fuzz around the song, what kind of nudity was involved). It is also relatively rare (it is a fold-out, not a CD cover that can be found anywhere). Materialscientist (talk) 23:11, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unused PD-text logo, with fair-use rationale, of a now-defunct organisation. Cloudbound (talk) 19:58, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Question Why isn't it appropriate at London 2012 Olympic Legacy, for which the rationale is written? Nyttend (talk) 20:09, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- It is the logo of a short-lived organisation now replaced by the London Legacy Development Corporation, which is mentioned within the article. Cloudbound (talk) 17:06, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- (Weak?) Keep - This image falls below threshold of originality in the United States, and I'm sure that it falls below threshold in the United Kingdom. --George Ho (talk) 20:14, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Actually, if it falls below threshold of originality in UK, then move it to Commons. --George Ho (talk) 20:16, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
