Delete. According to Ainaa Nawwara binti Kamarudin, which FPAS rightly deleted under A7, she's a teacher (age 18, so perhaps not a minor) who seems to be thoroughly average. According to the fair-use rationale written by admin Haemo: "The image is significant because it illustrates a major plot thread for one of the major characters in the film, and thus any critical commentary based on that thread. In addition, it helps illustrate one of the major politically satirical themes in the movie, which is critical to its reception and cultural merit." To clarify, for most Singaporeans, receiving PSLE results is among the defining moments of their life, as the results largely determine their future academic and career prospects. The film criticises the excessive emphasis that Singaporean society places on academic results, which places undue stress on students and hinders their non-academic development. According to the fair-use rationale written by admin Haemo: "The image is significant since it illustrates a major plot thread in the film, and narrative, which is critical to the development of the main character in the work, and for commentary based on that role." To clarify, the film criticises the excessive emphasis that Singaporean society places on academic results (causing children with poor grades to be deemed worthless even if they have significant non-academic talents) and the Singaporean trait of meek obedience of authority (even when the authority is clearly wrong). This scene is particularly relevant to both criticisms because students with poor grades were bullied by students with better grades, leading to a fight. The teachers only punished the students with poor grades, after one character had the opportunity to testify what actually happened, but meekly declined to do so (his mother had told him to mind his own business). Moreover, the above sequence of events occurs twice in the movie, highlighting its significance, and the climax is about the meek character learning to stand up for himself (by undergoing an organ transplant to save his friend's mother, against the wishes of his parents). --J.L.W.S.
