This is a title card; every title card is not mentioned explicitly in every episode article. This is no exception. If it were a stand-alone TV film, like Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal, the title card would be acceptable. However, the topic is an episode, so this image must go right away. (This nomination is approved optionally by my mentor Begoon.) George Ho (talk) 07:24, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment To clarify, George asked me about the 2 non-free images currently used in the article Goodbye, Farewell and Amen, and I opined that the infobox title-screen is basically ornamental, and adds nothing to the reader's understanding of the article, whilst the second shot in that article, featuring Hawkeye and the "goodbye" message, adds a great deal, which mere text could not convey, illustrating a crucial moment at the very end of a hugely popular, long running series, and that therefore, were the decision mine, I would remove the title screen and move the other shot to the infobox. I have now uploaded a better cropped image of the "goodbye" shot. The whole conversation, as George indicated, is here. Begoon talk 11:53, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak delete. It would seem to me that the title card could serve a function comparable to that of a logo: a standard visual method of identification for an episode. I'd expect a title card to be more recognisable to most readers than anything else for most episodes, since if nothing else, it would have the name of the episode. However, since Begoon says that the other nonfree image in this article is going to be really well recognised, it makes sense to use it instead, and of course we shouldn't be using both.
