This is a non-free photo from a notable rabbi copied from a website that claims copyright and does not welcomes non-personal uses of their work. The website uses the image to illustrate that rabbi. Since we also use as an illustration of that rabbi, our use is not transformative and we hardly have a fair use case here. (before voting please, note that the fact that this guy is dead, that the image is low-res or that the image is relevant to the article has nothing to do with this nomination). Keep Per Sven. Also concur that your rationale for deletion lacks a single cogent point under the reasons for deletion. It has a valid FUR and I really don't care what that website likes or doesn't like. Questionable both on grounds of NFCC#1 (according to the article, flood damage is a regular, annual occurrence, so new photographs of similar scenes could be made) and NFCC#8 (the particular event of damage shown here, i.e. the destruction of a particular road in a particular year, can be understood without visual illustration). Largely decorative non-free image. Using an image (c) B Syk B without commentary about the image itself to illustrate the article on a fictional character by Pratchett is not justifiable. Oppose deletion The image meets all WP:NFCC criteria. There is no free equivalent. It does not impair the commercial value of the original. Its use is minimal, cropped, and low resolution. It was previously published. It illustrates a very well sourced and notable article. It is used in no more than one article. As for context, it depicts not just 'somebody announcing something,' but the principal actor herself publicly putting the controversy to end. Strong and speedy delete. This is purely illustrative use of a nonfree image of a living person, used before the copyright holder has even had a chance to use it in its print edition.. This is not just any old picture of Beth Smith. It is a picture of the headmistress of Shelton High in the act of reversing an internationally criticized official decision, and putting the matter to rest.

Indeed, I would like to know how many times Hullabaloo expects this event, a press conference to announce the reversing of the prom ban of James Tate, covered by the international press, to occur, if s/he denies that it is a unique event.

Delete, obvious NFCC#8 failure. Even if the uploader's premise were factually true and this was indeed an "important" event (which I doubt, given its utter triviality, but I don't really care either way), the criteria for non-free images are not based on how important the event is, but how necessary the image is for understanding the event. I am not quite sure how fair this supposed loose it or use it policy is - am I supposed to edit war with a single editor in order to make sure the image is not deleted? The image was indeed used, see the article history. Likewise, the guideline does not say "nontrivial historical event", does it?

That he lived in the compound is significant, why do we need an image of this for reader's to understand that he lived there ? I agree that this is relevant and of interest, but nobody has affirmed that the subject in the video was indeed The Man himself.
