- The first and last files are slam-dunk copyvios, and I felt comfortable with speedying them, and so I speedied them and then put a strikethrough on them as a way of taking them out of play. On the others, File:Permian.gif, File:Mayfield.gif, and File:MHS Trojans.gif look ineligible for copyright as being too simple to copyright. I am unsure about whether File:Rio rancho high rams.gif and File:Rio rancho rams.gif are too simple to be eligible for copyright, but I'm leaning towards that they might be ineligible (but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). So if I'm right, we just have to fix the sourcing on the remaining images, and we're good to go. SchuminWeb (Talk) 00:10, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- File:Permian.gif and File:MHS Trojans.gif probably count as uncopyrightable (but need to be licensed as such). File:Rio rancho rams.gif includes stylized ram's horns at the top of each R, so it has some artistic content and should be copyrightable. The two remaining items, File:Mayfield.gif and File:Rio rancho high rams.gif, are orphans and should be deleted if no use is found for them (they are simply variants on the other logos). --75.226.42.113 (talk) 00:26, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- None of the five surviving files has a description on its file page or on the article page where it is used. None resemble the logos shown on the corresponding school web sites. So it is possible that these really are the work of the uploader, as claimed, and are intended as decoration rather than as logos.
