Unnecessary non-free screenshot in a TV article that already has several other non-free images. Nothing in the visual presence of this illustration is needed to understand the points that are being made in the text it accompanies. Fails NFCC#8 and #3 (minimality) Fut.Perf. ☼ 11:39, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- There are DOZENS of other images that do the same for various other articles. If you have seen the show (The Bold and the Beautiful) you will know this is a major event that occurred in the character's run (being the fact that she died onscreen and came back to life years later). Why choose this image out of thousands that have the same purpose (giving readers a visual effect of the text)? and you say this article has other screen shots. It only has 1 other. SoapJar21 (talk) 11:51, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS arguments aren't helpful. The question is not how important the event is in the storyline. The question is how important the visual support is in order to understand the event. Answer is: it is not. I can understand the event perfectly well without seeing details of her clothing, her posture, the amount of blood oozing out or whatever else it may be that the image offers over and above the textual description. The text is entirely sufficient. (By the way, "giving readers a visual effect of the text" doesn't make sense; it doesn't even mean anything. Why is it that when people try to justify images under WP:NFCC#8, they so often take recourse to these kinds of generic assertions that aren't even grammatical?) Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:20, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay..But it's not your opinion only. How important was the event? VERY. It was only added to the page today, and this is just your opinion. Give it a couple of days until if IS received as non useful by another editor then it may be removed. Also, that did make sense (For the readers/viewers of the page to occasionally have a visual on the very notable event that occurred). E.g - Look at this image of Ashley Abbott and Ridge Forrester before taking action on this image. Why don't you go see the notability of that (which doesn't amount to this event)? It says in the text of Ashley Abbott's article that she was proposed to (and there was never even a marriage) and that image has been up for a while. I will argue my point. SoapJar21 (talk) 14:34, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- You are roundly ignoring my point. Is there anything you have to say about the argument that the notability of the scene as such simply doesn't matter? Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:37, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- And you just roundly ignored mine. Have you or have you not put up that picture for deletion? I don't think so. Also, to respond, that scene is very notable. I don't really think you watch the show so you wouldn't understand how this event affected the character and etc etc. And to for the argument that the notability of the scene as such simply doesn't matter - it does matter, and i have explained why above in this comment and multiple others. If you haven't understood, I really don't know whats going on with ya. You have nothing to say about the other image? Odd. SoapJar21 (talk) 15:36, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- (a) I linked you to WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. There are simply too many bad images on Wikipedia. Nobody can tackle all of them at once. But the fact that there are (many) others that are equally bad isn't a reason for not tackling the one that I happened to come across in this instance. (b) No, you have not. Fut.Perf. ☼ 15:44, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Well just leave it for now. Yes true, but you came across a specific picture linked to a soap opera. Bit strange. Right now its just your statement and mine. People (like you) who aren't really involved in Soap Pages don't get it. Leave it for now unless somebody else shares their comments. SoapJar21 (talk) 16:16, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete Event may have been important, but this photo doesn't show anything special. She was shot and is bleeding. We can adequately explain that with text, so this image fails WP:NFCC1 and WP:NFCC8. Calliopejen1 (talk) 17:51, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
