- File:Iconiq LightAheadDVD.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Prosperosity (notify | contribs | uploads).
- Fails WP:NFCC#3 as multiple files are being used when one would suffice. This alternate cover is not significantly different from the main cover to justify its use. — ξxplicit 02:23, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - in the context of File:Iconiq LightAhead.jpg already being used, this doesn't add much. PhilKnight (talk) 23:56, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Move to commons annotated version of a commons image, since commons also hosts different versions of images with annotations, this should also be there. 76.66.194.212 (talk) 06:36, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete - This scene shown in this image did not take place during "legislative proceedings of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate" so it is a non-free image. If it would have taken place during those proceedings, then it would be public domain. Because it is a non-free image of living person and being used as an infobox image, it should be deleted.--Rockfang (talk) 01:10, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, even CSPAN gives its televises the legislative proceedings of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate to the public domain,[1], this derivative work of said video is copyrightable. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 11:32, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. The WP:NFCC requires non-free media to meet all points of the criteria. Delete arguments asserted that free text can adequately describe what's in the image. The keep arguments hardly mentioned the policy or this specific image, but more of the responses itself to the Damadola airstrike. The delete arguments are more policy-based, which hold more weight, hence the deletion. — ξxplicit 00:16, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- File:Damadola airstrike protest.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Iqinn (notify | contribs | uploads).
- Image is not uniquely historical as there has been no critical commentary of the image; unacceptable non-free criteria 5 and 7; fails Wikipedia:NFCC#8. Swarm X 08:43, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong keep (speed close) - part of the mass nomination of almost the entire collection of images on Wikipedia that show civilian victims and destruction from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Highly important images that are not replaceable. All these images have a valid fair use rational and they are perfectly fine to use under fair use. Our Nominator does not show any knowledge on copyright laws or the DMCA and he should not forget the greater goal we have. There is no problem with copyright and the mass deletion of these images though "Wikipedia:Wikilawyering" would be highly troublesome. None of the given reasons is strong enough to justify the deletion of images from that importance. IQinn (talk) 15:24, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep This image shows an example of something under significant coverage under Damadola airstrike#Responses. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 02:38, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, maybe - depends on if New York Times is a "press agency", per WP:NFC#UUI7. Magog the Ogre (talk) 00:22, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so a clearer consensus may be reached.

- Delete this is an image of a protest which can be adequately described with text alone, and omission of the image would not be detrimental to readers' understanding of the topic, so the image fails WP:NFCC#8. Hekerui (talk) 22:40, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - the image is being used primarily for decoration, and thus fails non-free content criterion #8. The visual depiction of protesters does not "significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic" and omission of the image does not undermine that understanding. The image also is non-specific, in that no element of the photo specifically or clearly ties it to the Damadola airstrike, which further degrades the case for non-free use. -- Black Falcon (talk) 03:51, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
