- File:TravisKnight.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Cornhuskman (notify | contribs | uploads).
- User claims that he took the image himself, but at least two of his other recent uploads are blatant copies from NBA.com and Getty Images. I'm guessing he just pulled this from Google Images, since it's on the first page of results. I'm not sure who actually owns the copyright on the image, though. - File:TurnKey-Drupal.png (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by LirazSiri (notify | contribs | uploads).
- One of many non-free images uploaded for use in TurnKey Linux Virtual Appliance Library which consist of various registered trademarks merged with TurnKey's logo. CC-BY-SA licensing is inappropriately claimed by uploader and attempts to remediate the licensing problems by applying {{Non-free logo}} have been repeatedly reverted. {{di-no fair use rationale}} tags were also inexplicably removed. Images are spammed into *many* inappropriate categories and attempts to remove the unnecessary ones have also been repeatedly reverted. Finally uploader and article author is founder of article subject (WP:COI). -- samj inout 13:33, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- (in reference to all the turnkey images). This is easily solved by restoring the "non-free logo" and the "di-no fair use rational", and telling the involved parties that they will get blocks of increasing duration if they keep removing the tags.
- P.D.:(except for File:TurnKey-Drupal.png, because the Drupal logo is licensed under GFDL 2 or later[1])
- Actually the Druplicon is under the GPL which is incompatible in both directions with the GFDL and thus similarly problematic. -- samj inout 15:36, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- You are right, this one should have been labelled as {{GPL}} --Enric Naval (talk) 15:25, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- P.D.D.: and someone please tell them to stop using categories like Category:Cloud computing vendors. Those categories are for articles, not for images. --Enric Naval (talk) 15:06, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- If that's true could you point to the relevant policy page on image categories?LirazSiri (talk) 19:32, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- While I agree it had better not be me because I was already frivolously reported while trying to clean up after them... -- samj inout 15:36, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- You were reported for edit warring on the cloud computing template while ignoring the discussion on the talk page. Your "interest" in TurnKey (or its images) is vindictive, as evidenced by your threats on Twitter. Your attempt pretend otherwise can be easily seen through by anyone who reviews your edit history.LirazSiri (talk) 19:32, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: These images are completely unnecessary as they already have File:Turnkey-logo-blue-website.png to identify their company/project/roadshow/whatever. See for yourself how the images are [ab]used in TurnKey Linux Virtual Appliance Library. If anything it seems their primary purpose is category spamming. -- samj inout 15:38, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- These were my edits. There is no "them". If you were truly interested in the categorization scheme for the images you could have attempted to discuss the matter while pointing to relevant policy pages.LirazSiri (talk) 19:47, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- 'Delete as unnecessary and for licensing reasons outlined above. Verbal chat 16:01, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Whether or not the images are necessary is an editorial decision that should be discussed on the article's talk page not here, but int a nutshell the images provide a better visual representation of what the project is about than a screenshot. TurnKey is not your typical Linux distribution.LirazSiri (talk) 19:57, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The Turnkey logo is enough for identification in the Turnkey article. --Enric Naval (talk) 20:19, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Nominating this image for deletion is more cynical wikilawyering and harassment from SamJohnston who is attempting to bully another editor away from editing Wikipedia entries which he "owns". I've reported Sam for his abusive behavior on ANI. To the point there are no licensing issues with the images. All trademarks and logos are for open source projects TurnKey collaborates with and are used with permission and in full compliance of individual trademark licenses.LirazSiri (talk) 19:47, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete (all) From relevant website: "© 2009 Turnkey Linux - All rights reserved". Only acceptable use is per non-free image rationale which states "For critical commentary" (WP:NFCI). This rationale does not apply here. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 03:37, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Let's not. It's being used in a couple of places (sure, outside the article namespace), and is harmless. No sense in deleting this little gem. Mind you, I'm horribly biased. --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 22:53, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete per nom. Wilson Phillips article uses several album covers. One, File:Greatest Hits Album.jpeg, is not used in any other context (i.e. there isn't an article about the album). -- Gyrofrog (talk) 20:27, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Somalia ethnic grps 2006.jpg.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Taajir (notify | contribs | uploads).
[Note: Moved dicussion from MfD to FfD.]
- Derived from a public domain CIA map, File:Somalia ethnic grps 2002.jpg, but uploader gave no attribution for the changes (e.g. clan listing under "Darod," and additional clan labels on map). This version is not by the CIA. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:20, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Doesn't appear to be in use so, delete. Alternatively, re-upload with proper licensing. –xenotalk 15:22, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- It was being used in Somali people (until a minute ago). Someone had replaced the 2002 CIA map with this one. Also of note, the same uploader had done the same thing with Image:Somalia ethnic grps 2005.jpg.jpg. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:24, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- (I amended your link from clans to people) If I'm following correctly these are basically unsourced (maybe original research) maps? –xenotalk 15:35, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- That's correct, the uploader's additional content is unsourced. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 16:01, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Then still delete as unsourced, potentially original research. –xenotalk 16:05, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Delete; Image uploaded by an editor under ArbCom restrictions not to, and with dubious copyright claims. A different image remains on commons with the name name (and none of the problems). — Coren (talk) 21:46, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- File:Poblacion.JPG (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Richard Relucio (notify | contribs | uploads).
- This image has contradictory license tags. I looked at the source - http://www.elnidoboutiqueandartcafe.com/ - and didn't see any GFDL licensing mentioned, so I presume this would be non-free. In that case, it should be replaceable. Angus McLellan (Talk) 17:19, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- File:PondoSilencer.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Juggalobrink (notify | contribs | uploads).
- This non-free image "serves as the primary means of visual identification of the specified move" but the subject is still active as a wrestler in the "Juggalo Championship", so that this would seem to be replaceable. May not meet WP:NFCC#1. Angus McLellan (Talk) 17:24, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Non-free content rationale states that "[i]mage is protected by copyright and trademark, therefore a free use alternative will not exist" but this mistakes the intent of WP:NFCC#1 and the meaning of "replaceable" here. Seems eminently replaceable to me. Angus McLellan (Talk) 17:31, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete this would require a copyright free pic, as its entirely reasonable to expect an amateur photo of this event which a person could upload. agree, can be replaced by text, if sourced from the book it comes from.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 03:07, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
