Wikipedia:Editor review/RazorICE
RazorICE (talk · contribs) I have been a member of Wikipedia for approximately a year now, but only began regularly contributing two months ago. Most of my contributions are minor fixes (such as formatting, grammar or spelling) or reverting vandalism. I have also tried to be involved in other aspects of Wikipedia, such as taking part in various AfD discussions. I am fairly active (usually visit WP at least once a day), and would some day be interested in being an administrator, however I feel I am currently far from achieving this. I'm hoping to become more involved with Wikipedia in the future and I'm looking for some advice on how to do so, as well as criticism on what I have already done. RazorICE 14:02, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Reviews Hi RazorICE, after reviewing your contributions I have impression that you're definitely a good wikipedian. You fight vandalism, respond adequately to talk page messages and have a good summary usage (though not 100%). However, I'd like to attract your attention to several points:
- Examination of your talk archives shows that sometimes you revert things that don't need to be reverted and warn users whose actions did not qualify as vandalism. Such mistakes are pretty common, and even most experienced users make them, and I don't think that you make 'em too often. Just be sure to pay more attention when vandalfighting gets hot;)
- Even after you shortened your signature, it occupies 4 full lines in my edit window (1280x1024, 130% zoom in Opera). While it's not a violation of WP:SIG, it is still inconvenient. I'm not insisting that you should trim it even further and I'd never oppose anyone with such sig on RFA, but...
- You may be not a great article writer, but I suggest you to 'adopt' a couple of articles to keep an eye on them, correct novice edits and occasionally expand. This will give you more knowledge of writing the encyclopedia.
- You don't participate in public forums much. WP:ANI, WP:CN, WP:AFD and WP:VP are essential for a wikipedian.
Happy editing! MaxSem 08:24, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- May I point out that I have been part of several WP:AFD discussions, however I will do my best to participate in more (as well as the others you mentioned). I have trimmed my signature down (hope it's small enough now), and I will take your advice on adopting articles too! Thank you for your time! :D --RazorICE 09:15, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I wouldn't say there are any specific contributions which I am proud of. Most of my contributions are reverting vandalism, and I am pleased with all of those. I am also pleased with some images I fixed up, and a photograph I added to two articles. Overall, though, I don't think any particular contribution stands out.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Well, as far as I remember, I only ever had two problems when I accidentally reverted legitimate edits while vandal hunting. I did apologise to both editors, and I believe one accepted my apology and the other did not notice it. Not sure if these count as conflicts, and I don't believe I have been involved in any others... Could be wrong, though.
