From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello32020 (talk · contribs) I have been a Wikipedia user since July 2006, and have been an editor since 2005. I am a proud participant in Wikipedia: WikiProject Tropical Cyclones and Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history. I have started hundreds of stubs on locations. I have also contributed to recent Tropical Cyclones, particulary those in the Atlantic, and a lesser ammout in the East Pacific. I started the articles on the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict and the 2006 Gaza conflict. I have made 169 edits to the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict article. I have recently made a request for adminship, in which I withdrew.Hello32020 17:33, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • You're a good user, and I'd certainly like to see more of you in the future. Some issues you may need to resolve if you wish to succeed in a future RfA, though, would be:
  1. Your edit count. At the time of writing, it stands at just 36% across the scope of all your edits - that's simply not high enough for most !voters on RfA, so you'll do well to increase that. Add a summary to every edit, even minor ones, since they make life so much easier for everyone.
  2. Your Wikipedia-space participation. I suggest you involve yourself in WP:RfA voting and WP:AFD discussions as much as you can, since that kind of activity helps to develop a working knowledge of Wikipedia policy and demonstrates it to the people weighing in on your RfA. Aim for at least 500+ edits in the Wikipedia space before your next request.
  3. Be careful not to create articles that potentially fail Wikipedia's inclusion policies, such as WP:BIO, WP:BAND, WP:CORP and so on.
These are all easy issues to resolve, and I full expect you to do so without any particular difficulties. Good luck in the future, and happy editing! Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 12:56, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I am pleased with my contributions to 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict, in my opinion, a NPOV fashion. I also am happy with my contributions to other military articles, that I have created. I also am pleased with my contributions to the 2006 Atlantic hurricane season and other current events contributions. I'm working on User:Hello32020/List of Pennsylvania hurricanes currently and I believe it will be a very good article when it's published to Wikipedia. The reason is that they have helped Wikipedia's articles develop and improve.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
In the 2006 atlantic hurricane season me and some other users had a conflict with some other users, over whether Tropical Storm Chris (2006) was notable for an article. Gratefully, a user suggested IRC as a source to resolve the dispute. I participated in the resolution, as we came to a descison to develop the article on a user sub page. I plan to use this as a place of resolution in the future, if a quick resolution cannot be developed on the talkpage.
